General Warehouse Operative progressing to Print Operative

Starting Salary £12.71per hour (£31,390 pa) during initial 3-month Probation Period.

Factory based:  Barlby , North Yorkshire (Nr Selby)
Hours Monday – Friday, 7.00am to 5.00pm (47.5 hours per week)

Lunch Break:  30 minutes

Role Overview

Initially working in the Print Department with Machine Operatives, assisting in all aspects of operating a Screen-Printing Machine printing on glass.

Training will be provided allowing you the opportunity to develop and progress your skills to a job where you are fully trained and qualified in all key aspects of the glass printing business.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to: -

The tasks will develop and eventually involve operating a machine safely to the highest quality standards, and include the following:

• Safety checks on the equipment you are using
• Setting up the machines for different jobs
• Checking and changing the screens and inks throughout the printing cycle
• Checking for defects, print quality and inspection
• Producing samples for pre-production approval
• Assisting with machine strip down and cleaning
  
  
  
  • Loading and unloading Lehr, meeting production figures
  
  

Skills & Experience Required

Prior experience in a print production role is not required as training will be provided.

• Strong attention to detail and an eye for visual and physical quality.
• Good communication skills, for dealing with internal teams.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workloads effectively.
• A team player with a proactive attitude and hands-on approach.
• Must be enthusiastic and committed to learning new skills and working in a fast-paced efficient team environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 procedures and compliance -preferable but not essential
