About the role and school

Teach Plus are working with a welcoming primary school in Waltham Forest that is seeking a passionate Nursery Teacher to join its Early Years team from January 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about Early Years education and understands the importance of creating a nurturing, stimulating environment where young children can learn through play and exploration.

The successful candidate will support children's early development, encourage communication and language skills, and help establish the foundations for a successful transition into Reception.

You will work collaboratively with the wider Early Years team to deliver engaging learning experiences that support every child's progress.

Job Responsibilities

  Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities

  
  


• 
  

  Support children's development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

  
  


• 
  

  Provide opportunities for learning through play and exploration

  
  


• 
  

  Develop children's communication, language and early literacy skills

  
  


• 
  

  Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interactions

  
  


• 
  

  Observe, assess and record children's progress

  
  


• 
  

  Establish a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with colleagues and communicate with parents and carers where appropriate

  
  

Qualifications/Experience

• 
  

  QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is essential

  
  


• 
  

  Experience teaching within an Early Years or Nursery setting

  
  


• 
  

  Good understanding of the EYFS framework

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of child development and play-based learning

  
  


• 
  

  Strong planning, assessment and classroom management skills

  
  


• 
  

  A patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication and teamwork skills
