About the role and school

Teach Plus are working with a welcoming primary school in Hackney that is looking to appoint a committed Key Stage 1 Primary Teacher from January 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, support children's early academic development and create a positive classroom environment.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and be confident adapting teaching to meet pupils' individual needs.

You will help children develop essential literacy and numeracy skills, encourage curiosity and establish the positive learning habits that will support their continued progress throughout primary school.

Job Responsibilities

  Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum

  
  


• 
  

  Support pupils' development in reading, writing and mathematics

  
  


• 
  

  Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities

  
  


• 
  

  Assess and monitor progress, identifying areas for development

  
  


• 
  

  Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom

  
  


• 
  

  Establish clear expectations and manage behaviour effectively

  
  


• 
  

  Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and colleagues

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate with parents and carers where appropriate

  
  


• 
  

  Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning

  
  

Qualifications/Experience

• 
  

  QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is essential

  
  


• 
  

  Experience teaching within a primary school setting

  
  


• 
  

  Good understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum

  
  


• 
  

  Strong planning, assessment and classroom management skills

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to differentiate lessons and support individual needs

  
  


• 
  

  A positive, organised and enthusiastic approach

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication and teamwork skills
