Join an established main contractor delivering a major construction project in Somerset.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Setting Out Engineer looking to take ownership of site engineering activities while developing their career on a technically challenging build.

Work closely with an experienced project team, supporting the accurate delivery of groundworks, foundations and structural packages.

You'll join a business with a strong pipeline of work and opportunities to progress into senior engineering and project management positions.

Your Role as a Setting Out Engineer Will Include:

• Carrying out setting out and surveying duties across groundworks, foundations and structural works.


• Checking drawings, dimensions and levels to ensure works meet design specifications.


• Working closely with site management and subcontractors to resolve technical queries.


• Maintaining accurate survey records, as-built information and quality documentation.

As a Setting Out Engineer You Will Have:

• Experience as a Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer on construction projects.


• Confidence using total stations, GPS equipment and levelling instruments.


• The ability to interpret engineering drawings and coordinate with site teams.


• A background in civil engineering or a related construction discipline.


• The ability to commute to a site near Bridgwater.
