Business Development Manager | Ophthalmic Lenses | Northern Ireland

Zest Optical is working in partnership with a leading global ophthalmic lens manufacturer to recruit a commercially driven Business Development Manager to cover Northern Ireland.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced optical sales professional or a commercially minded Dispensing Optician looking to transition into a field-based sales role.


The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with optical practices across the territory, increasing sales, identifying new business opportunities and providing product training and technical support.


The Role


  • Manage and develop relationships with independent optical practices and key accounts across Northern Ireland.




  • Identify and secure new business opportunities to grow the customer base.




  • Achieve agreed sales targets through effective territory and account management.




  • Deliver product training, technical support and sales education to optical professionals.




  • Promote a comprehensive portfolio of ophthalmic lenses and associated products.




  • Develop sales strategies to increase customer engagement, product uptake and market share.




  • Plan and manage customer visits effectively, maintaining excellent relationships across the territory.




Requirements


  • Previous field-based sales experience or a strong background in optical dispensing.




  • Excellent knowledge of ophthalmic lenses and the wider optical industry.




  • Qualified Dispensing Opticians are encouraged to apply.




  • Strong communication, relationship-building and commercial skills.




  • Self-motivated, organised and comfortable managing a geographical territory.




  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Northern Ireland.
