About the role and school

Teach Plus are working with a welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets that is looking to appoint a committed SEN Teacher from January 2027.

This is an opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys supporting children with additional needs and can adapt their teaching to help every pupil make progress.

The successful candidate will be confident delivering differentiated lessons, providing tailored support and creating a positive classroom environment.

You will work alongside Teaching Assistants and the wider school team to ensure pupils receive the support and encouragement they need to develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Job Responsibilities

  Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet pupils' individual needs

  
  


• 
  

  Adapt learning resources and teaching strategies

  
  


• 
  

  Support pupils' communication, social development and independence

  
  


• 
  

  Establish clear classroom routines and expectations

  
  


• 
  

  Promote positive behaviour and engagement

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor pupil progress and identify areas for development

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other professionals

  
  


• 
  

  Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

  
  

Qualifications/Experience

• 
  

  QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is essential

  
  


• 
  

  Experience teaching pupils with SEN is desirable

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding of additional learning needs and inclusive teaching

  
  


• 
  

  Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to differentiate lessons effectively

  
  


• 
  

  Patient, adaptable and nurturing approach

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication and teamwork skills
