About the role and school

Teach Plus are working with a welcoming primary school in Lambeth that is looking to appoint enthusiastic and reliable Primary Teaching Assistants for supply opportunities.

This is a great opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers or experienced Teaching Assistants who are looking to gain further experience within a primary school environment.

The successful candidates will support pupils across the school, assisting teachers with classroom activities, providing additional help to children who need it and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs would be particularly beneficial.

Job Responsibilities

• 
  

  Support teachers with the delivery of classroom activities

  
  


• 
  

  Provide individual and small-group support to pupils

  
  


• 
  

  Assist children with their learning and development

  
  


• 
  

  Support pupils with additional learning needs where required

  
  


• 
  

  Help maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare and organise classroom resources

  
  


• 
  

  Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence

  
  


• 
  

  Adapt to different classes and year groups when required

  
  

Qualifications/Experience

• 
  

  Previous experience working with children is desirable

  
  


• 
  

  A degree or relevant childcare qualification would be advantageous

  
  


• 
  

  Experience supporting pupils with SEN is beneficial

  
  


• 
  

  A positive, patient and proactive approach

  
  


• 
  

  Confident communication and teamwork skills

  
  


• 
  

  Reliable and flexible availability

  
  


• 
  

  A genuine interest in working within primary education
