Are you a design engineer looking to develop your design experience within a specialist engineering company? Join a well-established manufacturer of water purification and treatment equipment, working closely with an experienced engineering team.


This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit business as a design engineer where you will gain hands-on experience across the design and build of bespoke water treatment systems.

You'll have the chance to develop your SolidWorks and engineering knowledge, get involved in a variety of projects and build a long-term future within the company.

With a clear succession plan in place, there is also the opportunity to progress into an Operations role or potentially step into a senior position as the business continues to grow.


Your role as a Mechanical Design Engineer will include:

  • Working alongside the Managing Director and engineering team on the design and build of water treatment equipment

  • Supporting the development and modification of engineering designs using SolidWorks

  • Getting involved in the manufacture and assembly of bespoke water purification systems

  • Working with components including pipework, valves, pumps and exchange resin vessels

  • Occasionally visiting customer sites to assess installations and take measurements


The Successful Mechanical Design Engineer will include:

  • Some previous design engineering experience, ideally within a mechanical or manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of SolidWorks software

  • An understanding of mechanical components such as pipework, valves and pumps

  • A practical approach and willingness to learn across design and build

  • Looking for a long-term opportunity with genuine scope for development

  • Ideally based within a commutable distance of Kettering
