GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Machine Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III).
The level will be determined by experience, ability to assume various roles on the plant floor, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solve machine issues resulting in efficient cycles and minimal downtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.• Follow standard work procedures to operate and maintain assigned machine(s).• Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards.• Ensure product meets certain tolerances and specifications.• Perform routine inspections per quality standards.• Understand production instructions.• Maintain accurate paperwork.• Package, label, and store products.• Cross-train on other production functions as business need dictates.• Clean and maintain assigned area to ensure proper functionality.• Report and assist with resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues.• Participate in the continuous improvement process.• If appropriate, set up and operate various off-line and secondary equipment.• Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Machine Operator II: 1+ Years of experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Perform batch assembly - loading chemicals manually or by use of material handling equipment where equipped. Cleaning 100 cubic foot mixers when required. Operating pail filling line - scale set up, filling pails, and stacking pails on to pallets. Operating bagging equipment- calibrates and sets scale for product being produced.
Operates in an efficient manner.
Spot checks bag weights.
Removes broken bags. Operating bulk bag filling equipment - Scale set up, fills 2,000-3,300 lb bulk bags, and overweight/underweight corrections prior to shipping. Small packaging assembly - labels pails, fills pails, hammers lids onto pails, and stacks pails up to 65 lbs. Operates walk behind pallet truck. Performs other duties as necessary.
Education and/or Experience
Forklift Certified or ability to obtain. Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs repetitively.
Physical Requirements
Department functions vary.
Depending on the function the requirement may require 90% standing, 80% sitting, or 25% bending.
Language Skills

Overview

The implementation of Source to Contract software platforms and introduction of new Sourcing processes with Directors of Strategic Sourcing for Direct and Indirect spend. Leading relationships with key third party supply chain and sourcing platforms. Managing digital RFP generation enabling more effective supplier submission, process management and savings execution. Tracking chemicals market data, reports, trends and outlook with analytics linking impacts to key category feed stocks. Analysis of material cost forecasts and internal material cost modelling analysis utilizing external market data inputs to provide increased transparency on costs. Proactive and formalized support of Procurement team on analytical and digital solutions to support strategy development. The identification and launch of new Procurement savings projects through increased data quality and quantity. Benchmarking RPM's processes against industry practices to identify and implement improvements.
Experience
Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics or a related field in Business or Supply Chain. At least five years' experience in data management or analytics, preferably a multinational organization with a background in Procurement or Supply Chain. Leading and coordinating Data Systems and / or Project Management activities which are complex and diverse in nature, working with multiple stakeholders across different business functions. Proven record of developing and implementing process improvements which are beneficial, measurable and sustainable. Knowledge of chemical feed stocks and forecasting would be advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong data analytics skills developed over time through a combination of practical and academic learning Experienced in handling large, complex data sets and proven skills in problem solving. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Power BI. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to key stakeholders at all levels. Track record of supporting Procurement, Supply Chain or a Project-related function as measured by project execution and specified deliverables. Focused on delivering defined personal and business objectives to enable the organization to achieve targeted goals.
