I am currently seeking a Estimator for work with a Multidiscipline UK Construction Contractor based in East London. This role is open to a contract or a permanent position for the right candidate.
This role would include but not be limited to the below
Liaison with subcontractors to obtain site specific quotations
Establishing new and building existing relationships with clients / contractors / suppliers
Coordinate site visits with team members to understand project logistics / constraints
Attending meetings with clients to discuss projects / tenders & negotiate contract sums
Inputting cost data from the BIM model
Validating unit rates and construction methodology with key sub-contractors and ensure this is built into budget.
Offering VE options with tender
Presentation of tenders for adjudication with senior management team
Working and supporting the existing Estimator and the construction teams for fire Protection to finalize the construction methodology, temporary works requirements, preliminaries, staff costs and ensuring this is integrated into the overall estimate
The Ideal Candidate will have
Experience as an Estimator or similar
Experienced with passive fire protection
Experience in using online take off systems
Estimating, Quantity Surveying degree or similar

Prepare monthly financial reports for individual projects, current and predicted, cost, value and margin for internal reporting.
Prepare cost forecasts for labour, plant and materials on a regular basis to ensure margins are being maintained throughout the project.
Procurement of materials, plant and subcontracts at best value.
Placement of material and subcontract orders.
Reviewing subcontract valuations and variations to ensure best value and maximisation of cash.
Be involved in estimating duties where necessary to support the Commercial team.
Ensure all records and files are up to date and comprehensive.
Maximise margins by re-measurement and methodical pricing of variations where necessary.
Prepare monthly valuations for individual projects.
Review contract documents.
The Ideal Candidate will have
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Junior Surveyor or similar
Experienced in JCT form of contract
Previous experience working within Construction or similar.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
