What Youll Be Doing:
- Installing and commissioning marine electronics on vessels
- Performing maintenance, repairs, and equipment surveys
- Supporting customers with diagnostics and fault resolution
- Identifying service opportunities and recommending solutions
- Delivering projects across the UK and occasionally overseas
What Were Looking For:
- HNC/HND in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in:

- Marine or field-based electronics
- Electronic navigation and communication systems
- Fault-finding and installation
- Technical support and project engineering
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Clear communication and customer-focused mindset
- Essential: Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential):
- GMDSS Operators Certificate
- Radio/VDR Survey or Class Approval experience
- BOSIET/OLF Certification
- Manufacturer-specific training
Medical: Must be able to pass a medical and annual working at height training

In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing maritime navigation and communication systems onboard vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned equipment checks, maintenance, Radio Surveys, and VDR APTs in line with IMO and Class Authority standards
- Carry out retrofit and installation projects, including commissioning and participation in sea trials
- Ensure a high first-time fix rate and maintain productivity targets
- Share knowledge across the team and support local management with insights for continuous improvement
- Participate in technical training on new maritime technologies
What We\'re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years experience in installing and maintaining maritime navigation and communication systems
- Product knowledge of leading navigation and communications brands
- Basic understanding of ship networks
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills
- Fluent Dutch and English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Flexible, proactive, and willing to travel across the ARA region
- Valid Passport and Drivers Licence (VCA/IRATA certification preferred)
- LRC or GOC radio licence is an advantage

Role and Responsibilities of the Mechanical Project Engineer
The responsibility of the Mechanical Project Engineer is to work within the Projects Team, sometimes overseeing projects from start to finish through their full life cycle to ensure the project is delivered safely and in compliance with the specified standards.
Also making sure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
This is a hands-on role working on operational projects.
Key Responsibilities:
To ensure the project meets customer specifications and interpreting client requirements.
To define project scopes of work and to conduct site surveys when required.
Develop project plans, timescales and associated project documentation.
To monitor the project budget and identify additional chargeable costs.
Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Track and monitor project milestones.
