This organisation is dedicated to delivering trauma-informed, therapeutic residential care to some of the most vulnerable young people in society.
We are currently seeking an experienced and confident Senior Residential Care Worker to help lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality, child-centred care in a nurturing residential environment.
The Role: As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will play a key leadership role within the home, supporting the management team and acting as a role model for junior staff.
You will help create a safe, supportive setting where children can feel secure, understood, and empowered to move forward with their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and supervision to care staff.

About You:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (essential).
Minimum 18 months' experience working with children in a residential care setting.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
A sound understanding of the impact of trauma on children's behaviour and development.
Knowledge of relevant childcare legislation and safeguarding practices.
Full UK driving licence or access to a driver for work purposes.
Ability to work flexibly, including unsociable hours and participating in the on-call rota.
Desirable:
Experience supervising or leading staff in a care setting.
Understanding of therapeutic approaches to working with children.
Awareness of budgetary and resource management in a care environment.
