About the role
The role of the supervising social worker is to recruit, assess, and assist foster carers in their task of providing care to a child in care, with the aim to improve the child's well-being and life chances by promoting the individual outcomes for children.
Work may include assigning cases, reviewing case activities, determining training and developmental needs, training employees, providing technical direction, reviewing worker performances, and initiating corrective action, when necessary, under the direction of other staff members.
You will be expected to participate in the out of hours service.
About the role
It is essential you have a degree in Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) and previous experience in Children's Social Work.
Previous experience in Fostering would be ideal, however we would consider candidates within Front-Line Services, Adoption, Child Protection, Children in Need and Looked After Children.
It is essential you have a full driving license and access to your own vehicle.

Currently working with an established business in Bradford who need a qualified Forklift Driver to cover for 2-3 weeks.
The Forklift Driver will be working both alone and as part of a team with accuracy, efficiency and commitment to complete the work and strive to maintain the business performance targets and individual KPIs.
Responsibilities will include:
- Daily forklift use
- Ensuring that all goods that are loaded/unloaded match the relevant paperwork
- Storing and rotating stock according to company procedures
- Picking & packing products
- Handle ‘goods in' (unloading, checking, storing, and administration) from suppliers
- Reporting any damaged or missing goods to the Warehouse Manager
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
- Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Hold a valid external counterbalance licence (MUST!)
- Reliable and punctual
- Follows instructions
- Can work independently and in a team

This team is the Local Authorities Out of Hours first point of contact for anyone who is concerned about the immediate safety of a child, young person or vulnerable adult.
The Emergency Duty Service (EDS) team predominately undertake a range of assessments and interventions, with much of this work being Child Protection assessments and Mental Health Act assessments.
Key responsibilities of the role are instigating timely investigations, promote positive outcomes, prepare and submit court applications, represent the Council, ensuring the protection and welfare of all children and vulnerable adults.
About you
It is essential you have a degree in Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) and to be registered with Social Work England.
A minimum of 2 years within Child Protection or in a Mental Health setting will be necessary to be considered.
If you have a HCPC Registration OR hold an Approved Mental Health Award (AMPH), that would be highly desirable, but no essential.
