The Person:

Key Responsibilities:

Residential Support Worker
Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Residential Support Worker in Medway.
The Residential Support Worker will Provide care and support, structure and routines for children and young people that respects their individual needs.
Main Responsibilities
As a Residential Support Worker you will be responsible for:
To be a positive role model and develop mutually trusting relationships with children and young people, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Work as a member of a team providing nurturing, stimulating and safe environment which promotes the emotional and physical well being of children and young people within appropriate boundaries.
Safeguard, promote the welfare and wellbeing of children and young people in accordance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Maintain children's records by ensuring all information / recording relating to children is up to date and that essential record keeping is completed during and by the end of each shift to enable a comprehensive handover can be provided to members of the team.
Working Style
FIXED - The post holder will be permanently based at Eden House, although you may be expected to work at any location across Medway.
You will be expected to work a shift rota, including weekends, evenings, bank holidays, occasional waking nights and sleep in duties.
Salary
The salary for this role is highlighted below.
There are specific spinal points within the grade which the candidates will be aligned to if appointed.
To achieve the higher spinal points, candidates will need to be able to evidence they meet the criteria within the job profile.
3A - £24,525
3B - £26,897
3C - £29,268
Requirements
Level A
Educated to GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4 or equivalent and/or relevant life skills experience.
Willingness to work towards an NVQ / Level 3 Diploma (QCF) in Children and Young People's Workforce (or a relevant equivalent) to be completed within 2 years.
A willingness to work towards all mandatory training.
A willingness to undertake Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy (PACE) training.
A willingness to undertake Team Teach training.
Level B (in addition to A)
An NVQ / Level 3 Diploma (QCF) in Children and Young People's Workforce (or a relevant equivalent).
Completion of all mandatory training include PACE and Team Teach.
Level C (in addition A and B)
Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.

Identify and communicate to Project Manager if/when an occurrence will impact the programme.
Responsible for running multiple crews (internal and subcontractors), first point of contact for all workers on site.
Read and understand project plans and carry out daily quality & compliance checks on works.
Identify design issues on site and communicate back to Project Manager, along with details of programme impact and potential solutions.
Ensure all daily HS forms are being filled out by all crews.
Carry out weekly audits on all crews to ensure compliance with HS standards.
Ensure all workers on site have required tickets and are inducted onto site before works start.
Prepare Risk Assessment Method Statements.
Communicate risks and controls to crews prior to works starting.
Monitor crews to ensure controls are being followed.
Monitor effectiveness of controls and update Risk Assessment Method Statements where required if controls can be improved.
Understand TMPs and carry out daily checks to ensure Traffic Management on the ground matches the approved plan.
Prepare regular progress reports on progress, quality and safety.
Experience you need:
Proven experience as a Site Agent in civil engineering or construction projects, with utilities and working within the road corridor experience preferred.
ROAR certification preferred.
CSR/Safe pass certification.
Manual Handling certification.
LUGS certification preferred.
Basic computer skills - microsoft outlook, word and excel.
Microsoft project experience preferred.
Full drivers licence.
