I&C engineer and supported by I&C technician team.

Takes responsibility for I&C Engineering Change Management system.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
B.S.
degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Preferred, 2+ years working in a Manufacturing environment, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electrical Schematic and panel layout design using CAD (preferably AutoCAD Electrical) experience. Experience in the design of programmable logic controllers (PLC) or distributed control system (DCS) based controls systems.
Expertise in National Electrical Code requirements in industrial facilities and hazardous locations.

The successful Design Manager should already be leading a team of technical designers that offer technical excellence to all areas of the business.
The current team are all fully trained in either Solidworks and/or AutoCAD.

Essential:
Proven experience of supervising/leading/managing a team.
Mechanical / Design drawing experience and qualifications
The ability to read, interpret and understand technical specifications and drawings.
Good understanding of resource planning and training team members.
Knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD (specifically weldments, sheet metal and drawings)
Solidworks official certifications as proof of software proficiency.
Experience in a low-batch, high-variation manufacturing environment, although all applicants and backgrounds will be considered.
Ability to communicate confidently with customers, suppliers and group staff.
Self-motivation in personal and departmental development.
Excellent technical aptitude in steel and timber fabrication.
