Job Summary:
Legend Brands is hiring for a Machine Operator for our Prescott, AZ location.
Under general supervision, the Machine Operator is responsible for set up and operation of machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required 0-3 years production/manufacturing experience - prior band saw/ cold saw experience preferred Ability to operate machinery and hand tools Ability to read a tape measure Basic math skills and reading comprehension Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Physical ability to lift heavy objects (typically up to 50lbs) and stand for long periods Basic understanding of manufacturing safety protocols

Work with filling line operators to efficiently change over line equipment for different label, container, and packaging sizes. Maintain all operating equipment in satisfactory condition.
Schedule needed repairs to have minimum interference with operations.
Troubleshoot/repair equipment in a timely and efficient manner. Comply with company safety rules and procedures.
Complete daily and shift clean up tasks. Communicate results/ concerns/ issues with supervisor and co-workers.
Ensure shift to shift hand-off is complete. Support and complete small capital projects. Required Experience:
3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing environment; preferably in chemical/paint manufacturing High School Diploma or equivalent Must have expertise in packaging equipment, plumbing, and pipefitting, with skills in electrical work and instrument calibration considered a definite plus Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex packaging and material-handling equipment is required Ability to do basic math. EDUCATION:

EXPERIENCE:

Draw samples of products, and conduct quality control tests to monitor processing and ensure that standards are met.
Use appropriate scales or measurement devices to add materials to the kettle as specified by batch process orders.
Must be able to read and understand recording instruments, pressure gauges, scales, flow meters, panel lights, and other indicators to verify the conformity of process conditions.
Monitor control settings and make necessary adjustments on equipment.
Accurately record production and downtime via written documentation.
