Senior Materials Scientist - Novel characterisation
A pioneer of cutting-edge instrumentation in Cambridge are looking for an experienced materials scientist to join their research group.
As a Materials Scientist, you will be charged with providing multi-instrumental characterisation data together with high quality analysis, interpretation, and reporting with particular emphasis on the purity analysis and characterisation of materials by liquid chromatography techniques, including LC-MS and HPLC.
This all aims to improve current characterisation methods and provide scientific structure property correlations.
This includes the development of new test methodologies, characterisation of both novel and known small molecule and polymer systems and the successful evaluation of new techniques to improve current characterisation methods from concept to delivery.
This means that you will be able to make a significant impact with you work.
To be considered for this role we are ideally looking for people with the following attributes;
Proven expertise in the characterisation of materials and identifying impurities by liquid chromatographic techniques, including LC-MS and HPLC.
Demonstrable experience of detailed interpretation of analytical chemistry results and data to draw clear conclusions and recommendations
Strong academic record with a materials focus
Naturally inquisitive mindset

ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are currently looking for a Bioprocess Engineer to join a leading biotechnology company based in the London area.
As the Bioprocess Engineer, you will be responsible for developing operations working alongside brilliant engineers, biologists, and mathematicians, you will build novel protocols and technologies to drive progress towards large-scale manufacture.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Bioprocess Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1.
Improve production processes and prepare technology for the next manufacturing facility.
2.
Coordinate with Models and Hardware teams to incorporate new instrumentation for monitoring critical parameters in pilot-scale and industrial systems.
3.
Develop and implement sterile operations and write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
4.
Perform mammalian cell culture in suspension bioreactors and utilize bioprocess monitoring and analytical instrumentation.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Bioprocess Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1.
Relevant degree in biochemical engineering, cell biology, biomanufacturing, or a related discipline.
2.
Proven industry experience in developing bioprocess operations in an industrial setting.
3.
A working knowledge and practical experience with mammalian cell culture in suspension bioreactors.

Senior Systems Engineer - Medical Devices - Oxford
A growing and well-funded scale-up Medical Devices company, based in Oxford, is currently hiring a Senior or Principal Systems Engineer.
You will help with the development of a new and exciting Medical Devices that will continue to push the sector forward.
Main focuses in this role will be leading the development of complex electronic circuits, specifically to Medical Devices standards, including ISO 13485 and IEC 60601.
You'll be working on the hardware and electronics of Medical Devices.
This work will also include testing and validation of the completed Medical Devices, this will include developing and running testing rigs to make sure the Medical Device is safe for use on humans.
