The below job description will outline this position of: Hydrographic Surveyor
Typically, this person will carry out a wide range of hydrographic surveying tasks, supporting both statutory and commercial activities.
This includes undertaking safety of navigation surveys, supporting dredging and port development, and contributing to engineering, geophysical and geotechnical survey operations.
The role will be part of a highly experienced and respected hydrographic team, working with advanced multibeam sonar systems, uncrewed surface vessels, GIS tools and aerial drone technology.

Duties and responsibilities of the Hydrographic Surveyor:
Undertake hydrographic survey operations, including planning, data acquisition, processing, and reporting
Support the production of nautical charting and survey deliverables
Assist in the delivery of dredging support and infrastructure survey projects
Operate a range of survey equipment including multibeam, side scan, and drones
Engage in commercial survey work and contribute to team training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Qualifications and requirements for the Hydrographic Surveyor:
Degree in Hydrographic Surveying or related scientific/engineering discipline
Minimum of 5 years’ hydrographic survey experience (inshore/offshore)
Proficient in hydrographic systems, charting techniques and standards
Competent in MS Office and hydrographic software tools
Relevant marine or offshore qualifications (e.g.
RYA Powerboat Level 2, Sea Survival, First Aid) desirable
Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
Willingness to undertake paid overtime when operationally required

Building Services Manager - Permanent Role - Manchester - Up to £90,000 per annum
Our client, a leading main contractor who operate across the country, are looking for an experienced Building Services manager to join their ongoing project in Manchester.
Initially starting on a high-rise residential development in the city centre, the successful candidate will have experience on £100m+ residential/mixed-use developments.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing sub-contracts buying schedule with the surveyors
Preparing draft reports and attending progress meetings
Implementing the project execution plan
Monitoring overall site progress against project plan
Preparing and delivering monthly CVRs as required
Agreeing programmes with subcontractors and monitoring progress
Managing and controlling operating budgets
Signing-off monthly commercial reports
The ideal candidate will have:
5 years' experience within Building Services Manager
Commercial awareness
Managers CSCS Card
CDM/PSCS Awareness
Project/Contracts Management Qualification
Mechanical and/or Electrical Experience
IOSH/NEBOSH training
Track record of 'end to end' project management on large developments

An exciting role for an ASSOCIATE BUILDING SURVEYOR who is MRICS qualified to join a boutique firm of consultants with good long standing clients to do both project and some professional work, City of London based.
Clients are mainly end use clients and occupiers.
Projects include office fit outs, cut & carve, some external refurbishment and duties include project management, contract administration, dilapidations and more.
This is an excellent opportunity to grow your clients and the ideal candidate will also become involved in doing some networking and business development.
For the right person you will have the opportunity of moving to Director level.
THE COMPANY
My client is a firm of construction consultants providing Building Surveying, Project Management and Cost Management services.
They have a selection of long standing clients and are extremently busy.
Currently most of their work is in the City of London and Central London areas.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be an MRICS qualified Building Surveyor at Associate level or at Senior level and be ready to step up to Associate.
You should be chartered with the RICS and have experience gained with a UK firm of chartered building surveyors or other multi discipline consultants.
You will have strong technical knowledge along with broad based building surveying experience.
You must have a good understanding of the building process to be able to meet with clients and deal with their required project at all stages.
You should have a stable work record with other firms of construction consultants.
You must have excellent written and spoken English and be confident in dealing with people at all levels.
You should be interested in getting involved with some networking and business development.
Salary will be a basic of £80000 to £90000 plus £4K car allowance plus bonus based on your invoicing, life insurance, pension contribution, lifestyle perks, and other benefits.
