The Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining a variety of high-speed automated manufacturing and packaging equipment, ensuring the site continues to operate safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include: , Carrying out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance , Diagnosing and repairing faults on PLC-controlled production equipment , Working on motors, drives, inverters, sensors, contactors and control systems , Maintaining high-speed production, processing and packaging machinery , Supporting mechanical maintenance activities where required , Responding quickly to breakdowns and minimising production downtime , Conducting root cause analysis and implementing permanent corrective actions , Supporting continuous improvement, reliability and efficiency projects , Working towards site KPIs including OEE, reliability and performance targets , Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety standards
What We're Looking For , Apprentice trained, NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent engineering qualification , Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills , Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment and automated machinery , Knowledge of drives, motors, sensors, relays, contactors and industrial controls , Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, pharmaceutical or other high-speed manufacturing environments , A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement , Ability to work effectively within a rotating days and nights shift pattern
