What will you do?
A penchant for business development, working out of your own office, you'll meet & engage new and repeat customers in your territory; assessing their needs, you will provide a truly consultative Stonhard solution. Customer sales calls include a mix of existing/repeat business along with prospecting for new customers and projects. Closely work with your manager to meet & exceed sales goals. Participate in overseeing the successful delivery of product installation, ensuring optimum customer satisfaction.
Project management responsibilities include ensuring raw materials are on site, construction crews have everything they need and troubleshooting any installation issues that may come up. Full turn-key operation ensures a smooth install and helps secure next project in another area or building. Will participate in an enriching training process spanning over two years, traveling to our headquarters for pre-planned, scheduled training(s).
Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
Uncapped Commission potential (First 2 years): approx.
$15,000 - $50,000

Rust-Oleum Corporation is a worldwide leader in protective paints and coatings for both home and industry.

As our Area Manager for Pro Channel you are responsible to drive sales and represent Rust-Oleum's 14 platforms of products to customers within the assigned geographic territory.
This individual will work from a home based office within the territory in which they will service. Travel accounts for 40-50% of the time within the territory.
Here's what you can expect every day: Maintain regular contact with customers to identify business opportunities, and to present new products. Identify customer needs to facilitate product recommendations, and planogram recommendations. Work with the Rust-Oleum credit department to manage customer accounts. Work with customer service to assure customer satisfaction on orders and set pricing. Manage territory expense budgets. Achieve quarterly sales objectives
Required Experience:
1 - 3 years of previous outside sales experience is preferred. Associates or Bachelor's degree in a business related field and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
Prior experience in a sales service role with demonstrated success in customer retention. Must possess a valid Driver's License and have maintained a motor vehicle record within acceptable limits as prescribed by Rust-Oleum. Previous retail selling experience strongly desired, Co-Op experience a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and various Internet applications.

What will you do?

- You will Enforce local laws to protect the area from litter, dog fouling and various other breaches of the Environmental act and Seftons Public space protection order. You will not have to deal with these issues but you will however be required to issue tickets/notices.
- You will be walking between 10-15 miles a day in all weathers.
So, could this role be for you?
- You will be dealing with members of the public face to face, at times in challenging situations.
- The aptitude to work on your own or as part of a team is so important for this role.
- Youll need to be reliable, self-motivated, and capable of dealing with possibly argumentative people or situations.
- Knowledge of environmental services would be of use but its not essential.
- You will need to have the ability to write short factual statements and detailing Evidence for any further prosecution in court / Tribunal.
- PC skills would also be an advantage, as you will be using a handheld device daily.
- You will need to be over 18 to apply and a full clean Driving Licence would be useful, but not essential.
- Basic English and Maths qualifications would be preferred or demonstration of this from previous employment.

Facilitate regular strategic communication with sales, management, leadership and other key stakeholders to proactively identify potential challenges, develop resolutions and execute accordingly.
Leverage collaborative relationships to address higher-level discrepancies and ensure alignment between field operations and sales objectives including but not limited to field resource management, workload balance, job site conditions, product management issues, etc. Manage administrative requirements including but not limited to expense management, timecards and time management, monthly sales projections, status reports, large job approvals, sales quotes, project specifications, etc.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in related field such as construction management, business, management, communications, etc.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
With a high school diploma or GED, 5 years of related management experience in customer service, business, construction or services related experience is required. With a Bachelor or higher degree, a minimum of 3 years related management experience required; education will be considered in lieu of experience. On-site construction safety experience is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
OSHA 10-hour training preferred
