Role Overview:

We are looking for a versatile and well- rounded Manufacturing Engineer who can write CNC Programs with CNC Machining experience who can join our Engineering Department and integrate with the team immediately.
The Requirements for the Manufacturing Engineer
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will need to possess workplace experience of programming Mazak and Doosan 3 and 4 axis CNC Milling machines,and ideally have used FeatureCAM software.
The ability to understand FANUC code, read and interpret engineering drawings, cutting speeds and feeds and experience of the introduction and implementation of new product is essential.
Mazak Millturn machine experience would be desirable.
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will need to be a team player and be agile in their approach to the duties of the role.
Engineering Department - Quality Ownership, Awareness & Expectations:
Poke-Yoke Devices - Always seeks to adopt the development and use of poka-yoke devices (wherever possible) to limit/ avoid mistakes that can and are made in production

Engineering related changes - Notifies quality department when any new or changes to drawings or planning's are instigated, or when a planning is copied for use on another similar job (especially if planning identifies any inspection sheets & requirements)
Special Projects - Take full ownership of special process (assigning teams/people to support, generation and management of all associated files and documents), providing up to date status at all times
Archiving & Up Revising Plans - Always archives plannings prior to any additional work being undertaken.
Ensuring changes are controlled through Up Revisions, which are undertaken correctly in Omnis records (Top Section Drawing Revision & Section 2 Drawings required always specifying same Rev)
Planning Updates - Always reviews and updates the planning on any up revision for any invalid notes, references or documents (removing any new part ref's, any notes, machining centres or op numbers no longer valid)
CNC Programs - Ensures programs are developed using the best tools that allow for good surface finishes and promotes general principles for good aesthetics of the parts (no chatter, steps evident)
CNC Programs - Always generates CNC programs with reference to the drawing revision the program is for (ensuring both control and ease of review when required - when up revising / auditing etc) projects when identified and fulfils all aspects of this
Opsketches - Generates any necessary Opsk's to support manufacturing process and for treatment requirements (or seeks support of design engineer and the use of the solid works models to create required documents)
NCM Support - Supports their associated sections NCM process (identification of route cause, along with corrective, preventive action ownership)
The Rewards/ Package for the Manufacturing Engineer role:
Salary £35,000+ (DOE).
33 days' holiday, including statutory holidays plus pension.
The working hours are 37 per week, Monday- Thursday 7.30am until 4.15pm and Fridays are an early finish on a Friday, working 7:30am- 12:30pm.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Specification Writer purpose is to develop WTI General Contracting (GC) specifications and Scopes of Work (SOW) that meet contracted purchasing agreements.
The manager collaborates with Construction Managers and Business Managers to ensure specifications follow local building codes, fire ratings, wind-uplift ratings, and Tremco-specific requirements for project warranty issuance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: List the job's essential or most important functions and responsibilities.
Include all important aspects of the job -- whether performed daily, weekly, monthly, or annually; and any that occur at irregular intervals.
Develop WTI General Contracting Specifications in compliance with IBC, IECC, and Tremco-specific requirements standards that align with provided Scopes of Work. Develop specifications based on individual project Scopes of Work, using judgment and best practices to select appropriate items Create professional specifications and AutoCAD drawings from detailed Scopes of Work. Ensure specifications meet Tremco requirements, comply with any purchasing agreements and local building codes, and comply with industry standards (NRCA, SPRI, Factory Mutual, etc.). Collaborate and coordinate with Program Managers, Construction Managers, Sales (WTI & Tremco Roofing), and Field Technicians throughout the specification process to ensure contract requirements are met. Prepare and review addenda and pre-bid documentation as needed. Assist Estimators in understanding specifications for bid preparation and pricing. Ensure high quality and accuracy in each specification, confirming compatibility of specified products. Ensure specification requests and reviews are completed in a timely manner, ensuring compliance, clarity, conciseness, correctness, and completeness. Ensure sufficient material is specified based on Tremco/manufacturers' coverage/usage rates. Stay updated with compliance policies to ensure specifications and drawings align with contract agreements. Communicate with sales representatives, product/technical representatives, construction managers, and field technicians from Tremco and WTI throughout the specification development process. Be proficient in Tremco's platforms for job and data management (E-builder, Spec Writer, Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
Be proficient in Tremco's products and systems, including application, use, coverage rates, compatibility, and limitations.
Be proficient in Tremco's system fire ratings (UL Solutions Product iQ database and RoofNav) Calculate wind-uplift; understand 3rd party test reports for Tremco roof systems or RoofNav. Ensure specifications comply with industry standards (NRCA, SPRI, Factory Mutual, etc.) and Tremco requirements.
EXPERIENCE: Must have 5-10 years of commercial Built up Roofing experience including application of hot and cold applied roofing systems or single ply roof systems to including the ability to evaluate roofing details for development of Tremco compliant specifications. Should have 2 years of engineering or architectural courses or 3-5 years on the job experience in the specification area CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: List the licenses, certificates, and registrations that are required to perform the essential duties.
Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) CCS certification preferred OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of building materials and codes, construction techniques, as well as building material characteristics, performance and compatibility. Knowledge of CSI principles and formatting and AIA contract documents Effective verbal and written communication skills; exemplary organizational skills Collaborative and professional work ethic Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and produce results within deadline.
