Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday
9:00am to 2:00pm
You will be
Properly cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
Assisting the Cook with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat.
Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls.
Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies.
Organising and correctly storing food supplies.
MUST HAVE AN ENHANCED DBS CHECK
Pay- £13.00 P/H

About the role: -As a cook you will be required to prepare and cook for all our residents including baking and Sunday Lunches.Prepare and cook meals and snacks following pre-set menus in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations to ensure meals are nutritious, appetising, and meet dietary needs.Undertake simple stock control, reporting goods to be ordered to the relevant senior staff to ensure adequate supplies are maintained.Undertake the cleaning of the kitchen and surrounding areas and of equipment to ensure the kitchen is maintained to a high level.Ensure the security of the kitchen and storerooms is maintained at all times to provide a safe working environment.Attend training courses as required. Essential Skills
Must have minimum 6 months experience working with clients dealing with learning & physical disabilities, autism, brain injuries and mental healthMust have valid DBSGood general education
Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference
Satisfactory Police Check and check against the ISA List (where applicable)
A commitment to undertake training and development
Own transport required due to the location of the role
Desirable Skills
RQF Level 2 or above in social care
Previous experience within social care setting
Knowledge and commitment regarding Equal Opportunities
Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks
Confident IT user
