Pro Abrasives National Business Development Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION JOB SUMMARY: The primary result expected from the National Business Development Manager will be to achieve corporate growth objectives within the Abrasives category. This includes creating Abrasives programs within our existing distributor base and the identification, analysis, evaluation, and successful closing of new business opportunities. The role will allow those with passion and interest in building a pro industrial abrasives strategy from the ground up, the opportunity to leave their mark with a fortune 500 company. JOB RESPONSIBILTIES: Work closely with our Product Management team to formulate, direct and coordinate sales and marketing activities and policies to promote our Abrasives line. Identify, develop, and evaluate sales strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, cost and markup factors. Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction. Compile lists describing product or service offerings. Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings. Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends. Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services. Consult with buying personnel to gain advice regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand. Performs other duties as assigned in the interest of Rust-Oleum. QUALFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of wide-ranging sales and/or marketing experience in the Industrial Abrasives space with responsibility for results. Ability to recommend changes to policies and establish department procedures. Able to develop and manage sales initiatives to deliver results. Ability to collaborate with customers and functional peers on matters that impact multiple departments. Able to execute financials, business planning, and organizational priorities. JOB DESCRIPTION GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The CM Development Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the CM Associate program, developing Construction Management Associates for rapid advancement into Construction Manager positions. This position will create a program curriculum to enhance roofing and contractor safety knowledge, technical roofing expertise, and roofing field-related tasks and processes, thereby helping familiarize the CM Associate with existing WTI construction processes and procedures. This position is also responsible, but not limited to, evaluating candidates for both entry into the program and advancement to other positions within the existing program. This position will also help develop and maintain relationships with Construction Management programs, in conjunction with recruiting efforts, to create a pipeline for future CM Associates in regions throughout the country. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Create a technical roofing curriculum using existing Tremco University classes. Create a schedule for achievement for the CM Associates to work through technical education consistently. Create a process, within existing estimating guidelines, to have line item proposals for material only and small PR work completed by CM Associates directly within the region. Create timelines and review the process with Estimating Leadership to determine how it will be facilitated. Act as a liaison between the WTI Leadership, corporate, and the sales force to understand feedback for improvements, new initiatives, and how to improve the overall program design. Develop an ongoing strategy to manage the future CM Associate pipeline based on the resource needs of the WTI business. Collaborate with WTI Leadership to identify future resource needs and develop timelines for implementing CM Associate resources to support growth. Assess daily operational situations for crisis management, safety, and escalation protocol. Additional duties as directed by the Director, WTI Roofing EXPERIENCE: 7+ years of prior experience in a results-oriented leadership role for a regional, cross-functional team within the building construction industry. Prior experience leading a staff in remote multi-state locations. Prior experience clearly defining expectations, articulating ideas, thoughts, and views, and providing continual, timely, frank, and direct feedback to others.
