As our Machine Operator you are to package paint and related products by operating, setting up, adjusting, and performing QC checks while tending to machines/hand fills to package paint in a safe, consistent, and efficient manner, according to specifications. Here's what you can expect every day: Inspect and examine products for quality, packaging accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects. Change over equipment, adjust equipment, or otherwise adjust machines to improve equipment performance and quality. Set and adjust speed, temperature, product flow, and positions and tolerances of equipment. Examine job orders to determine details such as quantities to be filled, production times, stock specifications, BOM's, and SKU sequences. Monitor filling equipment to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary. Operate equipment at most efficient speed to ensure proper quality and output. Responsibility for the equipment performance, efficient changeovers, operation, and preventative maintenance. The primary result expected from the Paint Process Handler is to assist in the duties of a paint maker by supporting the filling lines in order to meet both internal and external customer demand, in addition to operating equipment and setting up of materials in a safe, consistent and efficient manner. Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to requirements.
Test samples of materials or products to ensure compliance with specifications, using test equipment.
Start machines to mix or blend ingredients; then allow them to mix for specified times.
Operate or tend blending equipment to mix or blend any of a wide variety of materials such as chemicals, color pigments, or volatile ingredients. Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained, and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures. Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing. Add or mix chemicals and ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices. Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standards.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
Communicate with Supervisors, peers, or subordinates: provide information to supervisors and co-workers in written form or in person. Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality. Learn all manual tasks performed within the department. Perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures, and following department specific quality control processes and procedures. Own current brand performance and actionable 1-3 year business plan Own the P&L of designated platform, balancing cost and growth opportunities to achieve profitability and growth targets. Qualifications
Education: 4-year BS degree in business or engineering, with an MBA degree an advantage

A successful track record of driving profitable growth
Analytic and strategic thinking, with ability to digest complex information and make data-driven decisions
