As our Filling Team Lead you will supervise a portion of the department to ensure the manufacturing of paint and related products by directing and coordinating the daily activities under the guidance of the shift supervisor, executing the shift production work schedule as dictated via the production plan, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized working environment while providing training requirements and leadership/guidance to all department shift personnel.
Tasks PROFILE:
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
Enforce safety, quality, and sanitation regulations.
Direct and coordinate the activities of associates engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as fill lines, mixers, storage location, and forklifts.
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new associates or assign associates to experienced workers for training.
Observe work and monitor all indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
Adhere to Quality standard and audit batch paperwork hourly.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience:
1-3 years of related production experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Able to read and understand various meters, scales and electronic read outs.
Ability to solve problems in a team environment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.

As our Batchmaker you are to produce paint and related products by setting up, operating, or tending machines to mix or blend materials, such as chemicals, liquids, color pigments, explosive ingredients, or rust-proofing materials.
TASK PROFILE:
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
Stages and charges necessary raw materials into process flow tanks.
Follows batch work instructions in order to manufacture quality products.
Prepares disperser and letdown tank for production, including any necessary equipment clean up.
Monitors and controls high-speed disperser, mixer, pumps, flow meters and other instruments in order to make sure that a batch is produced according to work instructions.
Adjust a batch, under QC guidance, until it is approved.
Get batch tickets from floor supervisor and discuss with floor supervisor the best order.
Determine raw materials needed.
Housekeeping - Clean up work area to 5S standards, takes out trash, participate in cycle count and inventory program.
May assist in other departments such as filling, and material handling or help make sample batches
Ensure work area is safe, clean and free of recognizable hazards, communicating all spills or other hazards to the shift supervisor
Responsible for Dust collector cleanouts when required.

As our Production Associate, you will help Rust-Oleum deliver our products on time by operating, monitoring, and adjusting filling and packaging equipment to safely produce high-quality products while maintaining efficiency, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring accurate production records.
TASKS PROFILE:
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
Review job orders to determine details such as quantities to be filled, production times, stock specifications, BOM's, and SKU sequences.
Set and adjust speed, temperature, product flow, positions and tolerances of equipment.
Operate equipment at most efficient speed to ensure proper quality and output.
Monitor filling equipment to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
Stop machines when malfunctions occur, clear jams, and report unresolved malfunctions to a machine operator, lead, maintenance, and then management.
Change over or adjust equipment to improve performance and quality, using knobs, hand wheels, and/or hand tools.
Inspect and examine products for quality, packaging accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects.
Secure finished packaged items by gluing, stapling, wrapping, taping, or attaching fastener.
Load and unload materials, product, or packaging from machines, containers, conveyors, and conveyances.
Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) per requirements.
May require recording information such as weight, count, time, scrap and date packaged.
Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels to ensure all shifts requirements are met.
Responsibility for the equipment performance, efficient changeovers, operation, and preventative maintenance.
Ensure accurate counts of labels used and scrapped; and ensure appropriate inventory transactions are completed.

TASK PROFILE:

Stages and charges necessary raw materials into process flow tanks.
Follows batch work instructions in order to manufacture quality products.
Prepares disperser and letdown tank for production, including any necessary equipment clean up.

Essential Duties:
Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals
Effectively communicate in a team-based environment
Conduct training sessions for employees on quality standards, best practices, and continuous improvement methodologies

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering or related field required
10 years of progressive Quality department role experience
5 years of Quality Management experience
5 years of leadership experience
Yellow belt in Six Sigma training
5 years of SolidWorks experience or experience with comparable engineering software
Practical working knowledge of quality management systems
Practical working knowledge of FMEA process
Skill in creating action plans to address identified issues
PMI Certification preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with cross functional teams
Demonstrating self-confidence in making decisions
Coaching, leading, and mentoring others
Strong problem solving, planning and organizational skills
Coping with pressures and setbacks - adaptable and able to respond to change
Hiring Range:
Between $120,000 - $138,000/year
