Job Description
The Facilities Technician is responsible for the infrastructure, safety, and support systems of the Greensboro Innovation Center.
This includes ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and air handling systems are safe and operational to support building activities.
This position is responsible for leading the safety and housekeeping program and is the primary point of contact with other internal functions within the building to ensure the safety and productivity of the personnel from a facility support standpoint.
Main Responsibilities
Plan and supervise maintenance support and repair of building mechanical, electrical, and air handling systems, as well as laboratory equipment.
This includes performing routine maintenance, overseeing contractors, and managing capital projects.
Lead facility safety and compliance programs in conjunction with other functional leaders.
Responsible for the overall safety of the site, including maintaining hazardous chemical/material disposal compliance, safe operation of equipment including lock out/tag out compliance, site security/access, overall housekeeping compliance, and safety training.
Ensure compliance to all recordkeeping and documentation requirements supporting environmental, safety, contractor, capital project, or other facility related activities.

Key Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of the finished product
Participate in plant metric reporting
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities as detailed in the facility site plan to resolve any production problems that may occur, maximize product consistency, and minimize cost
Prepare estimates of production costs and production progress reports for management
Design measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and in pilot plant operations
Use SAP to monitor production/business functions
Recommend modifications to current processes and equipment; document and follow up with process engineers responsible for the modifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conducts on-site visits and assessments to understand the specific scope and technical requirements of individual projects.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
· A minimum of 5 years multi network exposure including hands on experience of designing and managing secure networks including the following systems:

o IDS/IPS
o Penetration testing (PEN Testing)
o Computer Forensic tools
o ISO27001 & GDPR knowledge
· Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management
· Ability to absorb and quickly gain and retain knowledge of bespoke products & satellite services
· Must be able to demonstrate technical competency in all they do with a right first time, every time attitude.
· Excellent customer support skills and ability to interact with customers both on the phone and in meetings
· Must hold, or have the ability to easily achieve SC Security Clearance.
· A well organised, pro-active and can-do attitude.
