The Process Engineer provides engineering support to the assigned program and/or area to ensure the product is processed in accordance with customer and division quality requirements while maintaining production flow.
Charged with developing and maintaining systems to assure that all products manufactured by the plant meet customer specifications and achieve superior and reliability levels.
The resident expert regarding process technology.
Responsible for investigating and implementing new process technology at the plant.
The Process Engineer is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing the plant.
This position is responsible for influencing the development of preventative maintenance programs at the facility and will have a significant role in capital improvement plans while assisting in work area design, plant layout, visual control and metric implementation, material flow, process tracking, and communication.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Engineer's role is viewed as an extension of management.
Responsibilities are broad and include safety, product quality, process control, productivity improvement, and development of a LEAN culture.
The Engineer is expected to spend a significant amount of time on the floor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety
Assume a leadership position at the facility in partnership with the shift supervisors.
Activities include resolution and communication regarding safety issues.
Execute on scheduled PHA's and JSA's.
Proactively monitor area and remediate potential safety issues.
Use DAKOTA software as a tool for compliance and environmental, health and safety.
Use the tool to report incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.
LEAN Culture
Develop and execute upon "standard work" activities.
Assume responsibility for assigned activities on the Engineering Tier and other accountability boards.
Conduct "GEMBA Walks" daily.
Use walks as the primary means of education and communication of expectations.
Improve productivity through elimination of non-value-added activities.
Apply Engineering principles and methodologies to Improve productivity and eliminate waste.
Product Quality
Work to maximize equipment efficiency and quality for output.
Member of the facility QIC.
Ensure identification of root cause and subsequent prevention of future customer complaints.
Assist in the training of operators with a focus on quality critical product specifications and process parameters.
Capable of equipment troubleshooting and process design.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree from four or 5-year college or university.
B.S.
in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Controls Engineering.
EXPERIENCE:
Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Controls Engineering from an ABET Accredited university.
Relevant experience from internship is acceptable for experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Understanding process variance and the resultant effects on Quality.
Knowledge of applied statistics.
Ability to perform problem analysis utilizing problem-solving methodology.

Role and Responsibilities of the Proposals Engineer The role of the Proposals Engineer is to design and estimate costings of Storage Tanks, Process Vessels and Pressure Vessels using design codes.
This includes attending project walk-rounds on client sites, liaising professionally with clients and colleagues and to assess and quantify materials, labour and other resources required to successfully carry out the requirements of the project.

Ability to design and produce design drawings for pressure vessels and storage tanks using PVElite, in house spreadsheets and AutoCAD.
Experienced and knowledgeable in the design and estimating of storage tanks, process vessels and pressure vessels, in particular the following design codes: PD5500, BS EN 14015, BS EN 13445, Pressure Equipment Directive & ATEX.
To assess and quantify materials, labour and any other resource required to successfully carry out the requirements of the project.
To document and record all information in a format suitable to handover to Operations and as detailed in the Proposals Department Procedures.
Essential Criteria of the Proposals Engineer:
Mechanical Qualifications (Apprenticeship trained, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, HNC, BEng etc).
Strong Mechanical background - Experience of working on mechanical projects involving structural steel works, process equipment and water treatment equipment.
Design experience of using PVElite, SolidWorks, Inventor or AutoCAD.
Experience of costing heavy industrial projects; experience within quoting and estimating.
Ability to engage with clients and complete site visits

Collaborate with the Cement Additives Technical Manager and Cement Lab Manager to develop new products and enhance existing lines based on market trends, competitive analysis, and industrial trial results. Work collaboratively with Euclid Chemical Cement Additives Lab team in the development and improvement of laboratory ball mill methodologies for testing materials.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical) or chemistry - master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cement manufacturing process control or quality management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge and understanding of cement manufacturing, cement chemistry, and raw and finish mill circuit operation. Basic understanding of cement additives chemistries. Ability to interpret lab outputs (e.g., XRD, clinker microscopy, isothermal calorimetry, and physical test results) to develop customer-specific strategies and product recommendations. Proficiency with cement standards (ASTM, CSA, etc.). Strong knowledge of milling equipment, particle classifiers, circuit configurations, and pyro processes for optimizing clinker performance. Advanced knowledge of MS Office computer software: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Basic knowledge of MS Outlook, Teams, Edge Internet Browser. Knowledge of industry trends, including low clinker content cement production and co-grinding with alternative materials. Data analysis and report writing skills. Communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership and team management capabilities. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ability to design and execute plant industrial trials and mill audits.
Travel:
Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings and plant industrial trials (up to 50%).
