GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Maintenance Mechanic I provides technical expertise on all matters of maintenance excellence of all process control, electrical, & Instrumentation equipment.
Recommends needed improvements to operations, and maintenance leadership.
This position focuses on sustaining or returning to current performing standards and works with the maintenance manager to lead longer term improvement for electrical and instrumentation equipment and enhancing maintenance team competency in the areas of electrical, electrical diagnostics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to understand and perform complex repair procedures within Chemical Plant while following oral and written instruction specific to the equipment being repaired.
Work closely with the maintenance manager and plant engineers to enhance equipment reliability and develop equipment repair procedures.
work with current maintenance technicians to strengthen skills in the areas of electrical.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, catwalks, or high lifts
Develop a full understanding of chemical hazards specific to area assigned to, including knowledge of required PPE for each job.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, drawings, and/or specifications.
Work in plant, and shop environment.
Support capital projects by participating and reviewing equipment selection and layout to optimize maintainability and meet reliability goals.
Promote consistency by inputting on standardizing equipment, providing technical expertise for installation, check out, maintenance procedures and start-up of all new or modified critical equipment.
Participate in PSM activities as defined by site manuals and practices.
Participate in continuing education and industry conferences to improve competencies and keep current and evaluate new technologies for their applicability
Develop a full understanding of material identification code system, including hazard identification numbering for repair jobs that require clearing of equipment in such service.
Develop a basic understanding of the function of plant auxiliary equipment, including the fire protection system, boiler, heaters, air compressor, waste handling and emission control devices.
This includes specific tests or preventive maintenance procedures required for all equipment.
Develop a basic understanding of bulk tank systems.
This includes a numbering system and location tank tables, level measuring systems and transfer pumps for repairing such systems.
Develop a full understanding of the plant waste handling systems.
This includes sumps operation, holding tanks, separation, and transfer equipment for repairing such systems.
Work with internal customers to provide support for small projects; troubleshoot problems using operational procedures and products to eliminate downtime.
Help to maintain records on equipment to build history to track equipment service and replacement requirements.
Adhere to all company quality, safety, security, health and environmental requirements and policies.
Work with outside contractor.
Perform all work according to Tremco quality and safety procedures.
Knowledge of calibrating different types of 4-20mA transmitters.
Knowledge of meters and calibration tools.
Knowledge of troubleshooting Motors and Motor Controls.
Knowledge of NEC.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
1 or more years of experience in manufacturing mechanical field or AS degree from technical school.
Experience in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting plant issues.
Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans and manuals.
Basic safety training such as Right to Know, Hazmat, Hazwoper.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work onsite in; Corsicana, TX.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Assist in the identification of capital requirements for the facilities' annual capital plans and budgets.
Lead investigations into equipment failures, difficulties, and deficiencies.
Interface with leadership, operators, and maintenance to ensure continuous improvement and continuous production.
Develop and streamline their critical metrics and assist when necessary.
Assist in the development of site metrics and KPI's Implementation and continued support of PIE.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree (B.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
6+ Years' experience performing Engineering duties/responsibilities in a Manufacturing Environment preferred.
Continuous web process and batch process equipment experience preferred.

As a Manufacturing Technology Engineer, you will play a key role in researching, developing and industrialising emerging manufacturing and assembly technologies.
You will work across technology evaluation, pilot projects, process development and industrialisation activities to ensure scalable, efficient and future-ready manufacturing solutions.
Key responsibilities for the Manufacturing Technology Engineer based in Bolzano, Italy:
Identify, research and assess emerging assembly technologies relevant to future products and manufacturing processes.
Translate technology concepts into scalable and manufacturable production solutions with active collaboration on DFM / DFA / DFT
Early stage design cycle support, working closely with R&D
Define process requirements, equipment specifications, personnel qualification needs and quality targets.
Monitor developments in automation, joining technologies, packaging and digital manufacturing.
Plan and execute pilot projects, feasibility studies, prototypes and technology trials (this will include hands-on involvement in SMT line setup and trials)
Conduct simulations and lab-scale evaluations of new manufacturing technologies.
Perform risk, cost and maturity assessments including TRL and MRL analysis.
Support the development of technology standards across multiple product families.
Collaborate with universities, research institutes and external suppliers on technology development initiatives.
Key skills required for the role of Manufacturing Technology Engineer in Bolzano, Italy.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Science, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
PCBA manufacturing engineering/process development/production engineering
Knowledge of assembly and joining technologies for electronic components on PCBs, including SMT, THT, soldering, adhesives and ultrasonic processes.
Process and/or technology leadership and a strong understanding of make-or-buy analysis and industrialisation strategy development.
Experience running feasibility studies, pilot projects and prototype development activities.
Background from a large subcontract manufacturer is beneficial.
Must have experience of working closely with design organisations and managing and supporting NPI processes
Familiarity with safety standards, regulatory frameworks and IP protection strategies
Candidates can be located anywhere in Europe to move to Bolzano
Excellent English language skills with Italian and/or German considered advantageous
