JOB DESCRIPTION
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: Understand and manage the capacity milling operation and assist supervising the management of the process performance. Develop safety procedures to be employed by workers operating equipment or working in close proximity to on-going chemical reactions.
Troubleshoot problems with chemical manufacturing processes.
Evaluate chemical equipment and processes to identify ways to optimize performance or to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Conduct research to develop new and improved chemical manufacturing processes.
Determine most effective arrangement of operations such as mixing, crushing, heat transfer, distillation, and drying.
Perform tests and monitor performance of processes throughout stages of production to determine degree of control over variables such as temperature, density, specific gravity, and pressure.
Design and plan layout of equipment.
Work with production to start up, enhance and improve all processes related to production and assist with defining SOPs. Prepare estimate of production costs and production progress reports for management.
Design measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and in pilot plant operations.
Develop processes to separate components of liquids or gases or generate electrical currents using controlled chemical processes.
Responsibilities/Expectations: Communicate with Supervisors, peers, or subordinates: provide information to supervisors and co-workers in written form or in person. Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality. Learn all manual tasks performed within the department. Perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures, and following department specific quality control processes and procedures. Treat people with dignity and respect. About the Role
In this role, you will support the Senior Electronics Test Engineer in the development and testing of new rechargeable battery products.
A major focus of the position is the design, development, and improvement of automated test equipment, where LabVIEW is the primary development tool.

Key Responsibilities
Test Design & Execution
Design and execute test plans for new battery products under development.

Design, develop, and validate automated test equipment and fixtures, with LabVIEW as the primary programming environment.

Manage version control of compiled firmware (hex files) and provide support for programming fixtures.
Production & Technical Support
Provide expert troubleshooting support to production teams, particularly on LabVIEW automated systems.

Contribute to PFMEA activities and support testing requirements throughout the NPI process.
Quality, Validation & Reporting

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
A degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (BEng) or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in an electronics test engineering or manufacturing environment.
Advanced LabVIEW programming experience is essential, including use of existing VI libraries and developing new automated test sequences.
(This is a core component of the role.)
Additional programming experience in C# and Arduino platforms (desirable).
Experience using SQL databases for test data acquisition and analysis.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across both test equipment and electronic assemblies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A highly organised and self-motivated approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
