GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Junior Mechanical Engineer provides engineering support to the program and/or area to ensure the product is processed in accordance with customer and division quality requirements while maintaining production flow.
Charged with assisting with the development and maintenance of systems to ensure that all products manufactured by the plant meet customer specifications and achieve superior reliability levels.
Responsible for investigating and implementing new process technology at the plant.
The Junior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing the plant.
This position is responsible for influencing the development of preventative maintenance programs at the facility, assisting in work area design, plant layout, visual control, metric implementation, material flow, process tracking, and communication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of the finished product.
Participate in plant metric reporting.
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities as detailed in the facility site plan to resolve any production problems that may occur, maximize product consistency, and minimize cost.
Design measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and in pilot plant operations.
Use SAP to monitor production/business functions.
Provides engineering support for all operations in the plant.
Recommend modifications to current processes and equipment; document and follow up with engineers responsible for the modifications.
Works with the plant engineers, maintenance, and facilities to influence the direction of preventative maintenance best practices.
Support a high-performance results-oriented culture and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
Provide technical and operational leadership for equipment and facility maintenance and improvements.
Deliver disciplined project management and product development assistance.
Regular review of batch first pass yield, production quality, distressed, obsolete, scrap, and returned material.
Troubleshoot and implement repeatability best practices.
Support investigations on equipment failures, difficulties, and deficiencies.
Interface with leadership, operators, and maintenance to ensure continuous improvement and continuous production.
Assist in the Collection of site metrics and KPI's Implementation and continued support of PIE.
Perform a job in accordance with all Tremco safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's degree (B.
S.) in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

My client designs, tests and manufactures engines and thruster components for space exploration to power spacecraft.
They are looking for a Maintenance and Fabrication Engineer, who can weld to join the Facilities and Site Services team.
Who are responsible for facility and production up time by performing building and equipment upkeep, repairs and maintenance.
Also rocket test installations, modifications and commissioning, applying fixes to equipment or building and ensuring facilities are tidy and functional.
This is a challenging role that requires a skilled welder fabricator but also includes practical building maintenance such as carpentry, electric, HVAC, plumbing, compressor and boiler maintenance, site vehicle upkeep, etc.
Building upkeep will include painting, minor repairs to doors, windows, roofing, drainage, etc.
Requirements
Welding and metal fabrication time served skills, work is often challenging.
Background in facilities maintenance or engineering fabrication.
Competent in using hand and electrical tools
Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and fabrication
City and Guilds Level 2, ideally Level 3 or similar structural welding qualification.
ASME certification ideal.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Project Manager (Automation) to join our customer on a long-term project based in Hertfordshire.
As our client is considered exempt for IR35 purposes, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing IR35 status should you wish to operate via your own PSC.
Our customer is a well-established and growing provider of warehouse automation and systems integration solutions, delivering complex, high-value projects across logistics, manufacturing, and distribution environments.
Due to continued growth and multiple project wins, they are seeking an experienced contractor to support the delivery of several large-scale automation programmes.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle delivery of automation projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
This will involve close collaboration with design, installation, commissioning, and client teams across multiple sites.
Key Skills / Experience Required

Proven experience as a Project Manager within automation, intralogistics, or material handling environments
Strong background delivering projects involving technologies such as conveyors, ASRS, shuttle systems, AMRs, robotics, or warehouse automation solutions
Experience managing multiple stakeholders including internal teams, subcontractors, and end clients
Demonstrable experience managing project budgets, timelines, risk, and resource allocation
Strong understanding of full project lifecycle from design through to installation and commissioning

Requirements
Hold a HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical, EC&I, Controls and Instrumentation, or a related subject (essential).
Possess a solid understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
Have experience with SAP and familiarity with reliability tools such as RCA or FMEA (advantageous).

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across building services and facilities equipment, responding promptly to faults and emergencies
