GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Building Sciences team will participate in different projects with various scopes of work.
The Field Engineer is responsible for the organization, research, and documentation of cross-departmental assignments supporting the continued growth and operations of Pure Air Control Services, a Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc.
division.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports the Building Sciences Project Manager with test and balance research, consultation, operations policy generation, and quality issues.
Adjust systems controls to settings recommended by the vendor, conduct measurement tests, and discuss system malfunctions with system users to isolate the problems.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.

Organize material and complete reports according to pre-defined standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
Evaluate current processes and develop innovative approaches for improvement. Write and develop in-house training materials supporting the staff and franchise partners.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field (preferred) Industry certificates are preferred but not required. Ability to obtain Engineer Intern certification preferred but not required. Working knowledge of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems. Familiarity with current building, energy, and mechanical codes and standards.
Understanding of Indoor Air Quality and how it affects the building occupants.
Understanding of HVAC design principles, including heating load, air change, and ventilation requirements, and applying different HVAC systems (Constant volume, VAV, 100% OA, ERV units, etc.). Understanding of HVAC engineering fundamentals, including load calculations, conceptual systems analysis through construction documentation design, equipment design and layout, and duct and pipe sizing.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Well organized and possess superior time management abilities to support several projects simultaneously. Self-motivated and self-directed while remaining a team player.
Ability to travel out of state up to 50% of the time.

Actively administers and enforces Company safety policy and program to minimize accidents affecting employees, the public, and property.
This includes responsibility for conducting safety meetings, complying with governmental regulations, reporting and investigating accidents, and planning site-specific job safety procedures, including: Conduct the daily on-site safety brief with all on-site project personnel (Sales Rep, Customer, WTI Supt & Crew, etc.) prior to the start of the WTI project.
Inspect and ensure the safety of surroundings, equipment, and tools and identify and discuss any safety concerns.
Complete the Daily Hazard Analysis form and submit it to the Supervisors as applicable. Ensure all project communication is completed prior to the start of any WTI project.
This includes but is not limited to communication with: Sales Rep on weekly/daily schedule WTI crew members to discuss the scope of work and daily tasks The customer prior to arrival, upon arrival, and upon completion of daily work WTI Supervisor on safety, schedule changes, project and crew updates, etc. Efficient project management to include managing crew start and end times, production rates, and ensuring tools and materials are available to safely and efficiently complete the assigned project. Complete the project per the scope of work, design, and specification of contract and engineering documents.
Complete an end-of-day and/or end-of-project walkthrough to ensure quality repairs and address any items prior to leaving the job site.
Before-and-after pictures will be sent to the Sales Rep, and information will be included in daily project status reports.
These items will include detailed work performed updates, materials consumed, and supplies purchases, all recorded daily.
Supervises, directs, and coordinates the scheduling and execution of projects in assigned areas.
This responsibility includes job start-up, job execution in accordance with contract specifications, job shutdown, and manpower scheduling, all consistent with the planned costs of the job. Manages field personnel, including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, and retaining the quality and number of production personnel needed to meet operating demands.
This responsibility also includes laying off personnel, disciplinary action, employee assistance, and handling union matters relative to employees.
Ensure that all WTI Field Labor will have a professional appearance and customer interaction while completing services for a customer. Responsible for the tracking and monitoring project inventory. Maintains the highest quality on-site customer relations in projecting a positive image. Has knowledge/understanding and assures assigned projects comply with all governmental rules and regulations affecting work sites and employees, i.e., OSHA, DOT, EEO/Affirmative Action, EPA, Wage and Hour, etc. Manage, monitor, and document the performance of WTI Commercial Field Labor and take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee and work-related issues.
Consult with the WTI Commercial Supervisor and Human Resources as needed. Contributes to operations by supplying accurate and timely job information, including daily job logs, job file documentation, and compiling information for billing the customer. Provides management with the earliest possible notification of real and potential job problems. Accepts responsibility for the care, custody, and purchasing of company equipment, materials, tools, and other assets as assigned by the WTI Commercial Supervisor. Trains employees in proper material and equipment usage, maintenance, and storage. Coordinates and monitors the performance of on-site subcontractors, where appropriate. EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of progressive experience in a similar role, including leading teams and technical solutions, training, troubleshooting, etc.
Must be thoroughly familiar with standard façade construction including masonry, EIFS, Stucco, Curtainwall, metal panels, concrete, plaster, and other forms of facade systems and how to repair them using Tremco CPG Materials properly.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:
Attend and understand daily onsite safety brief prior to the start of the WTI project.

WTI has established a Safety Solutions Team as a revenue-generating team within WTI designed to expand and create new rooftop opportunities for safety inspections, installations, and overall property owner reassurance for OSHA/ANSI compliance, supporting both Tremco Roofing and WTI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
List the job's essential or most important functions and responsibilities of the Safety Service Representative (SSR).
Include all important aspects of the job - whether performed daily, weekly, monthly, or annually; and any that occur at irregular intervals. Integrate safety into the roofing traditional sale process, WTI GC and GS sale processes. Evaluate and develop qualified leads and inspection assessments/reports for OSHA compliance to support the roofing sales representatives with the most current, up-to-date product selection, pricing, and installation processes. Provide product quotes for property owners, sales representatives, Tremco contractors, WTI construction/project managers, WTI field management, or any others as directed. Responsible for contributing to, validating, and signing off on all proposals and specifications.

Visit property owner/management customer locations and assess their rooftop safety needs, schedule inspections/assessments, provide fall protection presentations, or any other on-site activities as directed. Coordinate assessments, engineering assessments, training, and/or fall hazard risk inspections with outside partners. Prepare estimates using the electronic tools provided (i.e., spreadsheets, apps, etc.). Develop relationships with regional teams including but not limited to, sales reps, CSS, program managers, regional business managers, field supervisors, and field technicians. Develop processes and protocols for engaging sales representatives, customers, and contractors in alignment with regional and company objectives. Proactively identify potential barriers to participant success and work within WTI and outside agencies to deliver solutions. Provide excellent customer service to employees and outside partners. Travel as needed to visit customer locations and projects for project review, QC, customer presentations, quotes, and any other visit needed to promote or support the team. The Corporate Project Engineer is accountable for leading strategic CapEx engineering projects within Manufacturing Operations with a focus primarily on Mechanical Engineering.

Design to incorporate Lean principles to improve reliability, ease of use & maintenance, minimize changeover times, and to minimize production losses. Construction Management - Manage contractors, technicians, skilled trades, and internal resources to safely install and startup manufacturing systems.
This includes working with the plant operational teams on training, standard operating procedures, and identification of spare parts. Education/Experience Requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
