Main Duties & Responsibilities of Engineering Supervisor include;

While offshore you will be working closely with the team of Engineers and Surveyors to ensure all survey equipment is working effectively and data is collected efficiently and accurately.

Planning and supervising survey activities, including the setup, interfacing, testing, calibration and operation of survey sensors.
Operating online survey software and monitoring the data quality to ensure the survey specification is achieved.
Preparing reports including damage / fault reports.
Implementing and reviewing Planned Maintenance Systems as appropriate.
Maintaining and administering the inventory of equipment and consumables.

In this role you will be responsible for the design, engineering and specification of new products alongside the maintenance of our clients existing product range.
You will report to the Technical Engineering Manager and alongside the Design team you will be expected to generate production ready designs and help ensure the smooth running of the department.
You will ensure that new products are designed and developed within the agreed timescales and to the standards expected.
ROLE DUTIES
Work closely with the Technical Engineering Manager and the Design and Development department you will take products from conception to detailed engineering drawings for manufacture.
You will determine manufacturing methods for engineering designs accounting for both inhouse and external manufacture capabilities.
You will carry out DFMEA at the outset of each project, monitoring the completion of actions identified and working with the development team to identify product design failure modes.
You will ensure that tolerance analysis is carried out during the design process, allowing for ease of manufacture, product function and eliminating tolerance build up issues during product manufacture and assembly.
You will be working with all departments involved in the NPD program, in particular, Development, Production Engineering & Purchasing, ensuring design for manufacture is implemented prior to product handover.
You will work with the Production Engineering department to optimise designs to reduce costs, increase efficiency and maintain product quality.
You will ensure Bill of Materials spreadsheets are generated during the design process enabling Production Engineering to generate product manufacturing costs.
You will ensure new product progress feedback sheets are filled out and kept up to date.
To be considered for the role you require experience in a mixture of the following: -
You will be either degree educated or have a proven engineering background with a strong bias toward mechanical engineering.
You will be able to demonstrate ability in product development from initial prototype to mass production.
Experience of sheet metal manufacture experience and knowledge of sheet metal processes is required.
Experience of generating Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis reports (DFMEA Reports) and implementing the actions identified is required.
Experience of tolerance build up analysis and resolving areas of concern.
Proven experience of working with Solid Edge (consideration will be given to individuals who have worked with SolidWorks).
Ability to generate 2D production drawings according to GD&T best practise.
Demonstrated ability in design for manufacture considerations.
Folding simulation software experience whilst NOT essential, would be an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate continuous learning.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
Possess proven team working skills.
Be able to work to set standards and procedures in an ISO9001:2015 registered company.
You will be a structured and organised individual with the ability to prioritise and work on you own initiative.

An established and respected hospice charity is seeking an experienced and motivated Volunteer Engagement Co-ordinator to join its Voluntary Services Team at an exciting time of growth and development.

About the Role
As Volunteer Engagement Co-ordinator, you will lead and coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, induction, engagement and retention of the volunteer workforce.
You will ensure best practice in volunteer management, helping to build an inclusive and welcoming volunteering environment where every volunteer feels valued and supported.
This role combines operational delivery with strategic development.
You will work closely with the Head of Volunteering to expand volunteer recruitment methods, develop new volunteer roles aligned to future organisational needs, and contribute to the implementation of a Volunteer Strategy that supports wider strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating volunteer recruitment campaigns and onboarding processes
Developing innovative ways to attract volunteers, including community engagement events and outreach initiatives
Building partnerships with local organisations to increase volunteer applications
Supporting managers with volunteer involvement, training requirements and role development
Ensuring compliance with policies, safeguarding, data protection and best practice in volunteer management
Maintaining accurate volunteer databases and analysing data to produce reports and insights
Supporting under-represented groups to access volunteering opportunities
Managing volunteer performance issues sensitively and professionally where required
Contributing to the development and review of volunteer policies and procedures
About You
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive professional with experience in volunteer coordination, people management or community engagement within a charity, hospice, public sector or nonprofit environment.
You will bring:
Experience of volunteer recruitment, training and engagement
Strong administrative and IT skills, including CRM/database management and reporting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Confidence handling sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy
Strong analytical and organisational skills
A creative and innovative approach to developing volunteer opportunities
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel across the areas covered
A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
An understanding of current volunteering trends and national volunteering issues would be advantageous
