We are currently looking for a Technical Specialist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Hertfordshire area.
As the Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expertise and focus on the delivery of Mission Ownership objectives supported by the Technology Group.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Technical Specialist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1.
Complete tasks to support the delivery of Technology Mission Ownership Objectives, including process improvements and quality assurance.
2.
Assist in the development, commissioning, and introduction of new products and processes from R&D into manufacturing areas.
3.
Write or update controlled documents such as SOPs and Process Instructions, and develop training material to support project transfers into manufacturing.
4.
Actively participate in or lead continuous improvement initiatives to help meet yield, capacity, and quality performance targets.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Technical Specialist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

Relevant degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.

Proven industry experience in process improvement, protein purification is desirable.

The Junior Mechanical Engineer provides engineering support to the program and/or area to ensure the product is processed in accordance with customer and division quality requirements while maintaining production flow.
Charged with assisting with the development and maintenance of systems to ensure that all products manufactured by the plant meet customer specifications and achieve superior reliability levels.
Responsible for investigating and implementing new process technology at the plant.

Design measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and in pilot plant operations.
Use SAP to monitor production/business functions.
Provides engineering support for all operations in the plant.
Recommend modifications to current processes and equipment; document and follow up with engineers responsible for the modifications.
Works with the plant engineers, maintenance, and facilities to influence the direction of preventative maintenance best practices.
Support a high-performance results-oriented culture and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
Provide technical and operational leadership for equipment and facility maintenance and improvements.
Deliver disciplined project management and product development assistance.
Regular review of batch first pass yield, production quality, distressed, obsolete, scrap, and returned material.

This is an ideal position for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a proactive and keen approach towards learning and development.As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing Planned Maintenance and ensure standards are hit.
You will be diagnosing faults, identifying problems on machinery, and implementing solutions.
Responsibilities of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
Responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance work; including breakdowns and planned maintenance to the production line machinery
The ability to Fault Find on automated machinery.
Drive and initiate continuous improvement across the factory to enhance quality, efficiency, performance, safety and waste reduction
Provide support to other engineering teams and contractors as required.
To update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required
Skills Required for the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
Apprenticeship and/or equivalent
Engineering Qualification, certifications (18th edition, NVQ level 3, etc..)
Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment (FMCG)
Able to demonstrate a strong work ethic
