Carboline is seeking an Manufacturing Engineer Intern to work in Lake Charles, LA location This intern will work closely with several of our engineers and is a great opportunity for this person to gain hands on experience, become familiar with the manufacturing environments, and grow their professional network.
Requirements:
This is a paid internship where we are seeking someone who can work 30 - 40 hours per week from May through August.
Essential Functions:
Work directly with the Engineering Team and learn how to determine the optimal manufacturing methods and process for producing company products and gain hands on real-world experience in a manufacturing environment Additionally, they will learn and understand productivity improvement; LEAN processes, ergonomics, time studies for reducing waste and excess, line balancing, 5S, Kaizen, etc. Work from engineering design documents, prototypes and/or change orders, and analyzing them for produce-ability Working with Plant EH&S personnel to implement environmental or safety directives. • Determine what equipment, tooling, materials, methods of manufacturing (may include make/buy - automation decision) Work with other engineers to coordinate in setting up or changing the manufacturing processes involved with new or revised products. May use CAD/CAM equipment to perform design tasks Take responsibility for other essential duties, as determined by department Manager While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Construction Management - Manage contractors, technicians, skilled trades, and internal resources to safely install and startup manufacturing systems.
This includes working with the plant operational teams on training, standard operating procedures, and identification of spare parts. Apply the Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations, building code, and NFPA fire code to capital projects and design specifications Manage external Engineering Firm resources on large capital projects Frequent interface with corporate staff, plant staff, operators, and maintenance personnel across a 3-shift operation
Education/Experience Requirements:
BS in Chemical Engineering preferred.
Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Packaging, and Electrical Engineers with hands-on related experience will also be considered. 5 years Minimum in plant engineering support role with hands-on experience in engineering, process design, continuous improvement, troubleshooting equipment, project management and project start-up verification Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal, and technical communication skills, with the ability to lead and thrive in fast-paced, multitasking environments Commitment to safety, ethical behavior, and respect for people, ensuring adherence to industry standards, governmental regulations and company values Willingness to travel frequently to support capital project assignments.

Precision People has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Engineer to join our client-growing company within the automated access control industry.
They are looking for a Gate Engineer who is confident working on a range of equipment to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Other titles may include Field Service Engineer, Gate Automation Engineer, Electric Gate Engineer, Barrier Engineer, Automatic Gate Engineer or Access Control Engineer.
Candidate locations could include Loughborough, Mountsorrel, Rothley, Melton Mowbray, Nottingham, Leicester, Ashby De-La-Zouch, Syston and Shepshed and North Leicestershire.
The Role of Field Service Engineer:
To service and maintain a wide range of Sliding, Swing and Automated Gate Systems, Barriers & access controls.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Electrical servicing and repairs
- Working with Roger Technology, CAME, BPT or BENINCA manufacturers
- Perform routine maintenance
- Completion of breakdown repairs & planned remedial works
- Delivering excellent face-to-face customer service
- Working as part of a small team
- Equipment retrofits / Upgrades
- On-site Health & Safety
- Ensuring that works are carried out in compliance with current health, safety and environmental requirements
The Candidate: Field Service Engineer:
- Previous experience as a Gate Automation/ Barrier Engineer
- Must have experience in servicing, installing, commissioning or repairing Automatic Electric Gates, Barriers, Access Control Equipment and Bollards
- Previous experience of working in a field-based role or happy to cover travel in the Midlands
- Good communication skills with a range of individuals; customers to site operatives
- City & Guilds - Electrical Installation qualification desirable
- Knowledge of a range of manufacturers including Roger Technology, CAME, BPT or BENINCA would be beneficial
- Commutable to the company office in Loughborough
- Must hold a Full Clean UK Driving Licence
Salary/Package: Field Service Engineer:
- Up to £35,000 per annum
- Starting Salary is dependent on experience
- Hours of work: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
- Overtime available
- Company Vehicle and Fuel Card
- 29 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
- Company Pension Scheme

Our client is a leading Recycling & Waste Management company who currently have an opening for a Environmental Sustainability Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time position, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, based in NW London - immediate start available.
The Role
Support the senior management team and external consultants in the development and implementation of our long-term sustainability strategy, which a focus on achieving net-zero goals and client-focused environmental sustainability goals.
Manage delivery against our 2040 Scopes 1 and 2 net zero target including finalising our Scope 1 and 2 carbon strategy for 2026 and achieving our interim carbon reduction targets
Work with the team to set a Scope 3 carbon target, including data collection and screening, and collaborating to develop and deliver a long term strategy to achieve this
Oversee the implementation and management of the EMS, ensuring compliance with ISO14001 and other relevant standards and integration of carbon and all other relevant sustainability programmes
Provide team management to environmental sustainability team.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field or equivalent experience and / or training.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an environmental management role.
Experience managing ISO 14001 or other environmental standards.
Knowledge of waste management, carbon measurement, and relevant environmental legislation
Experience of planning and delivering major environmental projects.
Ideally experience of reporting through CDP, EcoVadis or other sustainability platforms.
Driving Licence - Essential
