Key Responsibilities:
Provide advice and information to members of the public, service users, and partner agencies.
Conduct assessments and determine the best course of action for service provision.
Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
Offer direct support and counselling to families, promoting family unity wherever possible.
Maintain accurate records, case notes, and reports using the local authority's IT systems.
Support social workers in reviewing and planning interventions and maintaining links with other agencies.
Actively promote Rochdale Borough Council's strategic objectives.
About You: We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working within care services, ideally with knowledge of social services and statutory/voluntary agencies.
Is skilled in providing assessments and information to the public.
Can negotiate with partner agencies and source services to meet identified needs.
Has strong IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Is committed to safeguarding children and promoting welfare, equality, and diversity.
Working Conditions:
You will be based at Rochdale Police Station.
A flexible approach to working hours may be required, and additional training will be provided as necessary.

Job Description
Service Care Solutions has a new and exciting opportunity which has become available working as a Children's Residential Worker with Rochdale Council.
Rochdale Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work 37 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a safe, secure, and supportive environment for children and young people.
Contribute to individual care plans and ensure the needs of the young people are met.
Work closely with families, social workers, and other professionals to support young people in care.
Encourage the personal development, health, and well-being of the young people.
Participate in the assessment and review process for each child.
Promote equality and diversity and actively oppose discriminatory practices.
Engage young people in outside interests and leisure activities.
Work flexibly on a rota basis, including sleep-ins as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in paid or voluntary work with young people (essential).
Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce, or a willingness to work towards it within 12 months of employment (desirable).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to observe and record behaviour accurately.
Knowledge and understanding of the needs of young people growing up.
Proficient in IT and software, including Microsoft Office.
Essential Criteria:
Must be at least 21 years of age in line with National Minimum Care Standards.
Physically fit to meet the demands of the role.
Willingness to work on a shift/rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
