Job Description
Carboline is looking to fill an open Territory Sales Representative within their Northeast Territory and are seeking candidates located near large cities inthe New York Metro Area. This position will be responsible for both selling and generating new business with already established customers while also developing new prospects to grow volume, revenue and increase the profitability of this territory. We are seeking individuals with a hunter's mentality and prior experience working in the paint and coatings industry. This position will report into the Northeast Region Director of Sales.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's in Business or a Technical degree or equivalent experience 4+ years sales and or business development experience in the fireproofing or protective coatings industry
Preferred Requirements
Previous industrial sales experience and NACE certifications are a plus.
Physical Requirements
This position requires minimal physical activity.
May require lifting up to 50lbs on occasion.
May require computer usage for an extended period of time - up to 8 hours in a day.
Occasional exposure to various chemicals.
May require travel by car up to 50%, including nighttime.
Essential Functions
Responsible for calling on new and existing customers to build sales volume, to remain abreast of customer requirements and to assess market trends. Calls on customers and prospective customers to inform them of products, new releases, services available, supply, etc.
Provides technical assistance when necessary. Responsible for securing and renewing orders; works with customer services and sales management to provide servicing levels required by the customer. Builds and maintains a sales program within the territory based on strategic planning including prospecting, new business development, levels of available business and level of repeat business. Works effectively with all company personnel and resources to provide full customer service and assure continuing customer satisfaction. Applies good judgment and prompt follow through on customer complaints, returns, claims or other problems on products / services provided. Gathers and reports significant developments within accounts, prospects competitors and the general market for use by company management in research, analysis and planning purposes. Provides annual sales detailing target markets and accounts. May act as a Field Technical Service Engineer as requested. Committed to the Company's safety and quality programs.

Helps conduct trend analysis and other studies as appropriate to assist Quality Engineering in evaluating potential corrective action of quality issues. Facilitates the Legend Brands equipment calibration system including identification and tracking of all calibrated equipment, maintenance of the calibration data base, and coordination with the company's calibration services provider. Works with other Quality personnel to produce periodic reports on first pass yield/cost of quality, inspection results, MRB dispositions and other quality metrics as appropriate. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Engineer (Preconstruction)
General Purpose:
To assess project requirements, gather technical data, and provide accurate cost estimates for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) restoration projects.
This role combines engineering expertise with estimating skills to ensure that HVAC projects are planned and budgeted effectively.
Here are the primary purposes and responsibilities of a Preconstruction Engineer:
Responsibilities and Duties:
Determines scope, designs solutions and estimates cost of HVAC restoration projects. Understands components and function of existing mechanical systems that are being altered or renovated. Develops a project scope of work through site visits and discussions with owner / facility staff Exercises control over design and production tasks to enable HVAC restoration projects. Drafts construction documents and generates specifications for HVAC restoration projects. Utilizes in-house estimating tools to create project budgets. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years of industry-specific experience. Experience with construction drafting in AutoCAD. EI certification with ability to obtain PE license preferred. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge preferred. Conduct formal requests for quote, tabulate, review and compare bids with specifications to verify conformance; consider the quality of items, services and abilities of the supplier in terms of company needs. Evaluate, monitor, select and revise the supplier base based on price, quality, service/support, warranty, and reliability. Develop monthly reports and measures on purchasing activities.

The MfgE works closely with all functional groups to develop robust, cost-effective manufacturing and assembly processes and related documentation for use throughout the manufacturing facility.
The MfgE drives continuous improvement and best practices by applying lean methods to eliminate waste in the value stream.

Establish process control parameters and help to define Standard Work to optimize efficiency and First Pass Yield (FPY). Analyze space requirements and workflow, and design the layout of equipment and workstations to ensure maximum efficiency and an ergonomically sound work environment. Perform research and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
Conduct studies and evaluations aimed at developing new technologies to reduce cost/lead time, and improve quality/product flow Performs other related duties as assigned.
