This is a hands-on role for an experienced IT professional who enjoys solving complex technical issues, improving systems, and supporting the wider business.
You will play a key part in maintaining and developing the organisation's IT infrastructure while supporting day-to-day operations.
You will take ownership of technical support across hardware, software and networks, ensuring systems are stable, secure and performing at a high level.
Alongside this, you will contribute to projects, support system upgrades, and help drive continuous improvement across the IT function.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing advanced technical support across hardware, software and network issues
Installing, configuring and maintaining servers, systems and workstations
Monitoring system performance and ensuring reliability and uptime
Managing network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, firewalls, routers and switches
Supporting system upgrades, patches, backups and migrations
Implementing and maintaining IT security standards
Assisting with IT projects including system rollouts and migrations
Documenting processes, configurations and fixes
Supporting and mentoring junior team members
Working with external suppliers and service providers where required
To be successful in this role, you will have:
At least 5 years' experience in IT support or systems administration
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments
Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
Exposure to virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, Intune and AVD
Experience supporting or delivering on-premise to Azure migrations
A solid understanding of IT security principles
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work across the business
A full, clean driving licence
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco or ITIL would be advantageous but are not essential.
This is an office-based role in Shrewsbury, working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.
There may be occasional requirements for out-of-hours support.
In return, you will receive a starting salary of £35,000 to £40,000, company pension and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Satellite Hazardous Waste Accumulation
Production tank/Cleaning/filling
1.
Production Quality Lab Technicians may have to dispose of product samples, line flush, off-spec product, or expired product retain samples.
This waste material is transferred to the hazardous waste satellite accumulation drum.
2.
Production workers clean equipment and tanks pre-rinse, wipe, scrub, and final rinse surfaces using wash solvent, brushes and rags.
Dirty solvent is transferred to the satellite accumulation area.
3.
Transfer used wash solvent to the satellite accumulation drum or tank.
4.
Ensure hazardous waste storage or accumulation containers remain sealed except during the addition or removal of waste.
5.
Ensure Hazardous Waste storage containers are clearly labeled "Hazardous Waste."
6.
Care must be exercised when introducing waste into the satellite accumulation drum.
Do not drop on floor or area.
In the case of any spilled material, spills or drops shall be cleaned up immediately.
7.
When 55 gallons has accumulated, the satellite accumulation container must be moved to a permanent hazardous waste storage area within 3 days and relabeled "Hazardous Waste."

Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse environment
Ability to safely operator a walkie-rider and pallet jack after training completion
Ability to operate RF scanner
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the scheduled work day
Must be able to stand and/or walk for the entire scheduled shift
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others

Space thruster Test Technician required to support Hot Fire Space Propulsion Testing programmes.
The successful application will work with Test Engineers on site preparation, propellant handling, propellant sampling, pressure control systems checks, mechanical and steam vacuum systems, instrumentation calibrations, steam boiler operation also the collation and review of test data.
There will be extensive work on high pressure gas and fluidic systems including interpretation and understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and the use of electrical and electronic measurement and testing equipment.
You will be working with satellite flight hardware, the preparation of space flight engines for test.
Including instrumentation, installation on to the test stand, removal post hot fire test, and subsequent engine decontamination activities, etc.
