Position Summary:
Carboline is seeking an EH&S Specialist located at our manufacturing facility in Lake Charles, LA. This person would be responsible for implementing and managing the environmental, health, safety, security, and emergency response programs for the local production and distribution facility.
We are looking for a dynamic trainer and behavior-based safety implementer for this facility.
This position will involve spending a lot of time on the production floor interacting with employees and supervisors identifying improvements in best practices and improving safety within processes.
PSM experience, hazardous waste management and someone that has worked within a Chemical processing facility is preferred.
Requirements:
Minimum of a BS degree in a safety, regulatory, or chemical related discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in safety, regulatory, and/or chemical fields.
Proven experience as safety manager.
Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies.
Experience in data analysis and risk assessment.
Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proven experience as a safety manager.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires some physical activity including but not limited to standing/kneeling/walking/sitting on concrete for approximately 50% of workday.
This position could also require computer usage for an extended period of time - up to 8 hours in a day.
Lifting up to 50 pounds; exposure to dust and chemicals including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, Acrylics, and certain inorganic compounds.
Personal protective equipment would be utilized.
This position will require travel by air and/or car including nighttime and overnight up to 25% of the time.
Essential Functions:
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EH&S regulations including written programs, record keeping, reports, inspections, monitoring, testing, and training.
Maintain compliance with environmental regulations (Title40CFR) including specifically, but not limited to:
Solid and Hazardous Waste management and disposal
Clean Air Act compliance
Clean Water Act compliance
Emergency Response
Pollution Prevention Planning and Control
Establish local EH&S goals and objectives along with the timely and accurate reporting mechanisms.
Coordinate the investigation of incidents (including near misses and losses) and accidents to determine root causes and assist in the development of corrective and preventive action plans.
Serve as the site liaison to local emergency response providers.
Develop and conduct environmental, safety and health training programs to ensure employee's knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Serve as Facility Security Officer to implement and maintain facility security requirements as required by the Department of Homeland Security.
Conduct EH&S reviews for new product development, facility modification, product manufacturing modifications and new equipment/machinery installations per the OSHA PSM standard.
Create and update compliance-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job hazard analysis (JHAs).
Administer and monitor industrial hygiene sampling and communicate exposure information and/or personal protective equipment requirements to employees.
Report on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
Maintain the health & safety statistics database.
Provide coaching and support to employees, supervision, and management to proactively address safety, health, and environmental risks and concerns.
Initiate or assist in efforts to continuously improve the overall working environment in the facility.
Provide technical assistance, training, and work direction to colleagues in other departments.
Analyze problems, identifying alternative solutions, and implementing recommendations in support of the Company safety goals and objectives.
Identify potential or actual areas of non-compliance through regular auditing and inspections and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
Review and develop profiles for classification of hazardous waste.
Responsible for timely disposal of process waste and waste finished goods.
Provide support to the Corporate Director of EH&S.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.

General Purpose:

The Prevailing Wage Specialist is primarily responsible for: This position is responsible for state prevailing wage and federal Davis-Bacon Act ("DBA") and Service Contract Act ("SCA") prevailing wage compliance for public works construction projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate all internal processes related to state and federal public works projects to determine whether information accurately flows from project setup through business operations to allow timely employee paychecks and certified payroll creation. Determine which WTI projects are subject to state prevailing wage requirements through online research, written procedures from various jurisdictions, and legal and consulting support. Identify whether state and federal public works projects are set up by administrative staff with accurate wage determinations, including straight time, overtime, and holiday time rates and calculations. Understand and help implement travel and subsistence calculations for all applicable jurisdictions. Manage compliance with apprenticeship programs for state, local, DBA, and SCA jurisdictions and assist the Training and Development Department with in-house apprenticeship program efforts. Understand, implement, and update accurate fringe benefit calculations, including amortization and offsets, as required by jurisdictions that require such calculations. Ensure that subcontractors, when retained, agree to approved contracts that possess prevailing wage, DBA, and SCA compliance language. General Purpose:
The Field Safety Engineer will be responsible for providing support and safety oversight to regional Roofing and Weatherproofing Technologies field employees (including but not limited to Sales, Roofing Advisors, CSS, Field Resource Representatives, and leadership), ensuring site compliance with corporate and client safety standards, as well as ensuring site safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.
This position will provide supervision and coordination of the day-to-day safety requirements of jobsites.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide support to projects by maintaining a visible presence and conducting site visits to perform safety audits and safety process audits (e.g., safety document evaluation/compliance)

* Enforce all Federal, State, local, owner and Tremco regulations throughout all Roofing regional projects. Assist site leadership to develop site-specific safety programs aligned with Tremco Field Services Safety policies and instruct supervisors on safety procedures, planning and equipment. Assist Regional Field Safety Managers with rolling out new safety initiatives and briefing employees as needed on new policies, or changes in existing policies, to keep current (e.g., Daily Task Planning, 100% audit compliance, safety training programs) Educate the workforce and regional leadership on understanding Tremco's safety cultural advancements, such as safety leadership and safety management systems. Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of Tremco Health and Safety programs in the field, to ensure that all safety expectations are understood and met. Participate with and/or conduct Toolbox Talk Meetings with Regional team employees. Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation and applicable standards, to ensure compliance. Effectively represent our Tremco safety culture with our subcontractors and help Tremco site leadership to ensure complete compliance of our subcontractors to applicable rules and regulations (Federal, State, local, owner, Tremco and their own). Motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure safety practices and policies are being adhered to effectively. As a direct report to, regularly communicate safety audit results and/or field safety concerns (e.g., Stop Work Authority) with Assistant Safety Director and prepare observation reports as needed. Regularly audit the Site-Specific Safety and Health Plans for compliance and update to ensure the alignment with project scope and conditions. Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately per the Tremco Incident Notification Policy. Participate and assist all field leadership in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions where necessary. Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed. Monitor and follow up on modified workers in the field. Must adhere to all company policies and procedures. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Occupational Health & Safety preferred) or 5+ Years of Construction experience with high school diploma. Minimum of two years of construction safety field experience required. OSHA 10- and 30-hour certification required. Knowledge of the 1926 OSHA Regulations. Working Knowledge on how to develop, implement, and audit a Daily Task Analysis for Employees and Subcontractors. Proficient written and oral communication skills. Proficient Computer Skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel/work remotely 80% or greater.

This is a remote position. The Part-time Warranty Administratoris primarily responsible for set-up, preparation, and finalization working through sales representatives and internal departments to ensure accuracy and completeness. Set up Warranty orders Review order information, follow-up with sales representatives, update SAP, set up equipment record(s) and create maintenance plans Select appropriate Warranty type; prepare Warranty document Finalize Warrant Verify all paperwork has been received, update SAP, assemble Warranty package, prepare necessary correspondence, and mail/route to appropriate parties Handle Warranties running through General Contracting Revise/Re-issue Warranties as needed Receive Warranty leak calls and communicate information to customer service for service order creation Provide Maintenance Plan/Service Order Assistance for Production Group as needed Implement process improvement, streamline formats, and help in designing/suggesting procedures to reduce redundant paperwork and data entry Act as liaison with field resources, sales force and contractors assisting with questions pertaining to warranty Develop and maintain effective working relationship with team members, managers and personnel in internal departments whose functions directly and indirectly impact the service level to customers Aid in building strong relationships with sales force, vendors, contractors and customers through professional demeanor, and timely and accurate handling of daily administrative duties that impact these persons Learn and understand services provided Special projects as needed. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Production Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Production Operator levels (I, II, & III).
The level will be determined by experience, ability to assume various roles on the plant floor, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solve machine issues, resulting in efficient cycles and minimal downtime.
The Production Operator will operate production equipment, including industrial blenders, in accordance with the established production schedule.

This role is for the Day Shift, which operates from 7:00 a.m.
to 7:00 p.m.
Eastern.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.
Follow standard work procedures to operate and maintain assigned machine(s).
Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards.
Ensure product meets certain tolerances and specifications.
Perform routine inspections per quality standards.
Understand production instructions.
Maintain accurate paperwork.
Inspects equipment, structures, and materials to identify problems or defects prior to production to ensure a clean, clear, and safe work environment.
Reads and follows work orders and formulas to meet production specifications and schedules.
Examines materials, ingredients, or products per quality standards.
Weighs or measures materials, ingredients, and products per requirements.
Adds and mixes raw materials according to specifications.
Transfers materials, supplies, and products between work areas.
Discharges blenders of powder when necessary.
Ensures quality and conformity of blended products to meet standards.
Ensures equipment is set up, cleaned, sanitized, and operating properly before, after, and between runs.
Completes cleaning logs and notifies quality control for hygiene testing.
Records operational and production data on specified forms/production documents.
Reports malfunctions to a supervisor and confirms proactive and routine maintenance.
Conducts ongoing assessment of quality control and operational procedures.
