DAP is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead the HR & Safety department and make a difference at one of DAP's largest manufacturing sites, located in Dallas Texas This role is a member of the leadership team, reports to the Director of Human Resources for Operations and has two direct reports.
The position supports the DAP Dallas Plant and oversees HR duties for the Garland Distribution Center
Responsibilities
Recruitment
• Screens, interviews, and onboards new hires.• Manages external recruiting agencies for temporary workers.
Employee Relations
• Engages all shifts and fosters a positive, safe, and productive work environment.• Investigates and resolves employee issues.• Plans creative celebrations and recognition programs.• Represents Company in unemployment hearings, mediations, etc.
Leadership
• Manages the goals, performance and development of the plant HR Assistant and HR Generalist.• Serve as a valued and active member of the Plant Leadership Team and works closely with the Operations team to provide leadership and support.
Health and Safety
• Assist the Safety Coordinator to develop and implement safety training programs to meet company, state, and federal safety requirements for the Plant and Distribution Center.
Policy Management
• Develops, interprets, and enforces plant policies and procedures.• Update policies, as needed.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Communications, or related disciplines• 5+ years of relevant experience at a manufacturing facility• Ability to identify and implement innovative programs to support the plant's business objectives.• Excellent conflict-resolution, problem-solving and team-building skills• Excellent communication skills• Leadership skills• Knowledge of employment laws.• Knowledge of Payroll preferred.• High proficiency of Microsoft Office.• Must be bilingual in Spanish.

Under general supervision, the Senior Production Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and operational activities in support of manufacturing, The PMT helps maintain an inventory of manufacturing equipment, hand tools, molds, fixtures, and gauges, including spare parts.

Install, set up, evaluate and make recommendations regarding new/existing equipment.
Make modifications to equipment to optimize performance.
Coordinate fabrication of fixtures and shop aids.
Ensure that manufacturing systems meet health, safety, and environmental management requirements. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Senior Production Maintenance Technician
This is the senior level of the Production Maintenance Technician series and is required to have a minimum of 7 years of previous experience and working knowledge and competent demonstration of the following: Advanced understanding of pneumatic /electrical drills, grinders, routers, and motors. Advances understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems, general maintenance processes and methods, power tools, welders and machine shop equipment. Provides complex problem-solving skills including equipment breakdown, performing repairs and installation. Provides advanced electrical and instrumentation knowledge and troubleshooting. Able to bring team together to solve complex projects. Work with outside vendors in a professional manner. Ability to train and mentor lower-level PMT's. This level requires the following certifications: LOTO certified, Forklift certified, Fall protection certification Senior Production Maintenance Technician performs broader skilled work and specializes in one trade or craft but performs work in a variety of disciplines.
The Senior Production Maintenance Technician receives minimal instruction or assistance and is fully aware of the operating procedures and policies associated with the department.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Maintenance Technician supports and ensures the completion of day-to-day maintenance activities at the plant.

Clean and maintain assigned areas and tools to ensure proper functionality.
Participate in the continuous improvement process.
Report incidents, near misses, and any non-conformances through the appropriate channels.

Give input on and coordinate maintenance supply purchases.
Perform Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure completion and accuracy.
Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Crosstrain on other production functions to aid as business need dictates.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma required. One-year certificate from college, technical school or manufacturing training program preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Forklift Licensepreferred.

Capable of installing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC; AC/DC drive motors preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Plant Supervisor - Louisa, VA
Position Summary:
Carboline is seeking a Plant Supervisor in Louisa, VA to lead and oversee all daily operations of our manufacturing facility.
We are seeking individuals with strong leadership to ensure the quality of our products, safety of the facility and coordination of all plant operations in order to reach the best possible performance targets.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring that various functions of the operations group interact cohesively to meet the overall goals of the corporation while providing clear direction and leadership their employees.
Position Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Manufacturing environment.
Some college course work is desired.
Job Duties:
Hold daily production meetings with all direct employees.
Oversees daily activities of operations to maximize scheduling and real-time utilization of resources.
Review and approve hourly timecards for payroll processing.
Perform annual evaluations and administer training for manufacturing employees.
Oversees daily activities of production to maximize scheduling and real-time utilization of resources.
Responsible for supervising and tracking resources, directing, and controlling shifts, hours, overtime, vacation, and temporary labor.
Responsible for manufacturing area cleanliness and order.
Ensures employees abide by all Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
Responsible for communicating material shortages, production issues, and schedule slippage on a timely basis to appropriate individuals/departments.
Responsible for completion and issuance of required manufacturing reports on a timely basis.
Responsible for supervising the crew leaders as well as assisting in the supervision of their employees.
Coordinates with shipping to ship products, maintains warehouse space and inventories, and develops production schedules based on shipping needs.
Tracks and schedules gypsum and cement.
Assists with inventory counts and resolves issues.
Assist in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
Supervises the training and evaluation of personnel. Perform other duties as assigned Participates in the Total Quality and ERP process. Committed to the company's safety and quality programs.
