I am looking for a Regulatory Solicitor or Partner to join one of our high-profile commercial clients in Leeds. This firm have a strong commercial client base and are looking for a Regulatory Solicitor, whether at partner or more junior and looking for a clear carer opportunity, who can further develop their existing regulatory offer.
They are very active within the market, frequently running seminars, training, drafting articles etc as well as hosting client social events.
They would support you in your involvement in these and make sure that you are well embedded in their client base.
Ideally you will also have knowledge of the market and be able to utilise your contact base to assist in the generation of work.
Their core areas of work have been Health and Safety and Environmental law, however this is based in other offices and they are keen to bring someone into Leeds who has strength in either or both of these areas, or even a wider base to complement their client base.
They are open minded though and really happy to consider someone with a different slant to their experience. This is an opportunity for a Regulatory Solicitor with the confidence and experience to work unsupervised and one wanting a real career opportunity and no glass ceiling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform standard work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.
Inspect and repair plant equipment, including but not limited to mechanical, welding, carpentry, electrical, instrumentation and controls to minimize downtime.
Document accurate maintenance activity records.
Clean and maintain assigned areas and tools to ensure proper functionality.
Participate in the continuous improvement process.
Report incidents, near misses, and any non-conformances through the appropriate channels.
Exemplify the expected values of organization including following policies and standard work procedures.
Give input on and coordinate maintenance supply purchases.
Perform Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure completion and accuracy.
Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Cross-train on other production functions to aid as business need dictates.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
One-year certificate from college, technical school or manufacturing training program.
One additional year of experience plus high school diploma/GED in lieu of higher education is acceptable.
Two additional years of experience in lieu of formal education is acceptable.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: 3+ years of experience.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to troubleshoot electric, air systems, and hydraulic systems. Knowledge of lockout/tagout, arc flash requirements, confined space entry and hot work permit.
Ability to work overtime as needed; ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond urgently to down equipment.
Effective team player, self-motivated, quick learner.
Good communication skills with the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift up to 50 lbs.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a market leading international manufacturing organisation based in the Walbottle area of Newcastle. The business offers £52,200 basic salary, plus 5% performance bonus and overtime is also available at a premium.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Maintenance Electrician:
Providing plant-wide electrical maintenance services, departmental support and repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained - maintaining factory manufacturing machinery
Monitor & supply Engineering support of machine set-up & changeovers to ensure that the product conforms to any quality assurance standards and ensuring changeovers are as efficient as possible
Make sure PPMs and commissioning stages are followed.
Required Experience and Qualifications of the Maintenance Electrician:
Recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or level 3 qualification: NVQ and BTEC, with City and Guilds etc - Must be Electrical Engineering Qualifications to Level 3
Motor, Drive, safety circuit and PLC system experience would be a distinct advantage
Experience of mechanical engineering, and able to assist with breakdowns when required
The ability to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment undertaking PPM and TPM activities
High degree of Health & Safety awareness
Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to electrical machinery problems.

We have a brand-new position for a Health & Safety Officer to join our client in an established and successful company.
You will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all company sites, promote a culture of safety, and implement effective policies and procedures to minimise risk and maintain a safe working environment for Team Members and visitors.
This role is part time or full time (4-5 days per week), 30 to 39 hours, and permanent, based in Banbury (office based).
There will also be some travel required, as needed, to other sites.
As Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for:
Develop, implement, and update health and safety policies, manuals, and procedures in line with legislative requirements
Plan and carry out site safety audits, inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance
Document the findings and implement or assign the necessary corrective actions
Regularly review and update risk assessments, ensuring they remain relevant and effective
Assist in identifying training needs and shortfalls.
Provide training on basic H&S at a local level
Promote a culture of safety awareness, educating Team Members to understand their duty and responsibilities.
Deliver awareness training sessions to existing and new Team Members
Coordinate incident and accident investigations, determine root causes, and ensure appropriate corrective actions are put in place to prevent recurrence.
Where required, assist in compiling responses to the HSE
Maintain records of all incidents and accidents
Be the main point of contact for all health and safety enquiries
Advise on health and safety laws, regulations and directives
Support and participate in the planning and execution of health and safety initiatives
Produce regular health and safety reports, identify trends, and explore and recommend potential improvement opportunities

As Health and Safety Officer, you must be/have:
Proven previous experience in a similar role
Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety or equivalent
Knowledge and understanding of UK health and safety laws and regulations
Ability to carry out effective investigations, audits, inspections and risk assessments, and compile reports and recommendations as appropriate
Excellent communication skills - including written, verbal and listening skills
Strong organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Diligence and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and within teams
Ability to prioritise workload and use initiative
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Full and valid UK driving licence to be able to travel to multiple sites
