The Role:
As a Theatre Runner/Assistant, you will work closely with various members of the theatre team, including theatre nurses, anaesthetists, surgeons, operating department practitioners, and administrative staff.
As part of the theatre support staff, your responsibilities will include:
Patient Movement: Safely moving patients on trolleys to and from the operating theatre.
Family Reassurance: Providing comfort and reassurance to family members during patient procedures.
Theatre Preparation: Preparing patients for theatre by assisting with the setup and ensuring they are comfortable.
Surgical Setup: Setting out instruments and equipment in advance, ensuring everything is ready for surgery.
Stock Management: Monitoring and replenishing departmental stocks of essential items.
Theatre Cleaning: Cleaning and tidying theatre areas after surgery to maintain a sterile environment.
Waste Disposal: Safely disposing of waste following hospital protocols.
The Ideal Candidate:
Comfortable in Operating Theatres: Will be willing to be present in the operating theatre during surgery.
Calm and Reassuring: Can stay composed and provide reassurance in high-pressure situations.
Health and Safety Aware: Will be vigilant about maintaining safety standards to protect patients, staff, and themselves.
Procedure-Focused: Have the ability to strictly follow protocols and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
Team-Oriented with Individual Responsibility: Be capable and confident of working effectively within a team while being accountable for carrying out your own tasks, having great organisational skills, along with very clear communication skills.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent/ Relevant ATP qualifications
Previous Theatre HCA experience
Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence
Good communication skills, with proven care experience

As Workshop Technician you will be working within the Marine Site Characterisation Geophysical team in Aberdeen.
We design and carry out site surveys and investigations using our fleet of purpose-built survey vessels to support a wide range of projects, including offshore wind, oil & gas, and others
In this role, you will prepare, test, and maintain geophysical survey equipment, data acquisition, and data processing systems.

Responsibilities include:

Assembly, maintain and testing of all company's geophysical equipment while onsite at company's onshore sites
Give accurate feedback to the Geophysical Operations Engineers or Manager on the status of equipment and any potential issues.
Carry out repairs, refurbishment and maintenance of geophysical equipment and complete all required documentation.
Identify and maintain minimum levels of spares and consumables to be kept in stock to carry onshore repairs via the Purchasing Department.
Liaise with Warehouse and Logistics, Asset & Repairs Controller and Workshop teams as and when required,
Undertake Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks prior to the commencement of works.
Ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained at all times.
Continually seek the identification of new working methods and/ or technology and / or cost reductions to improve performance.

Consultant AnaesthetistPosition: Consultant AnaesthetistLocation: MiddlesboroughPay: up to £140,000 plus benefits and enhancements Hours - Full time Contract - PermanentMediTalent are seeking an experienced Anaesthetist to work for a leading private hospital group with state-of-the-art facilities based in Middlesborough.
Working across a range of major and minor surgical cases, within various specialties including but not limited to heart surgery, endoscopy, ENT and general surgery.As an anaesthetist you will administer anaesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
Your role will collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized anaesthetic plans for surgical patients.
More generally you will monitor patients' vital signs and make necessary adjustments during surgery to maintain optimal anaesthesia levels.
Therefore, this role will benefit from you having experience in these areas so you can confidently work into our client's dedicated team!Skills required:
Must have full GMC registration - and Specialist Registration (or equivalent if coming from the EU)
Solid experience as a Consultant Anaesthetist
