Title: Technical Service Engineer

Summary:
Carboline is seeking a Technical Service Engineer (all experience levels welcome) to provide hands-on technical support to both internal and external customers.
In this role, you will partner closely with Sales, R&D, and Marketing to deliver product expertise, troubleshoot field challenges, and support overall business growth.
Minimum Requirements:
4-year technical degree or equivalent experience
Technical Service and/or coatings experience preferred
NACE CIP certification preferred (Level 2+ for advanced candidates) or ability to obtain
Strong problem-solving and customer-facing skills
Ability to travel up to 20% as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Exposure to chemicals including: amines, polyamides, isocyanates, epoxies, alkyds, acrylics, and inorganic compounds
Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Must pass respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function testing per OSHA requirements
Essential Functions:
Develop strong technical expertise in Carboline products, including performance, properties, and application methods
Assess product strengths and limitations to recommend effective solutions across applications
Represent Carboline in industry organizations (e.g., NACE/AMPP, SSPC) and stay current on industry trends
Support regional sales strategies and key initiatives, including TAM and Managed Services (advanced level)
Champion company safety, quality, and compliance standards
Sales & Technical Support:
Serve as a technical expert for assigned product lines, supporting sales efforts and customer engagements
Partner with Sales to deliver presentations, provide system recommendations, and support field opportunities
Train sales teams, customers, and specifiers on product performance and best practices
Collaborate with Sales, R&D, and Marketing on product development, improvements, and positioning
Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:
Troubleshoot product and application issues, partnering with Sales to investigate and resolve concerns
Document findings, communicate insights to internal stakeholders, and support corrective action
Conduct job site inspections as needed (level-dependent)
Track and drive timely resolution of technical service reports and open issues

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical) or chemistry - master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cement manufacturing process control or quality management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge and understanding of cement manufacturing, cement chemistry, and raw and finish mill circuit operation. Basic understanding of cement additives chemistries. Ability to interpret lab outputs (e.g., XRD, clinker microscopy, isothermal calorimetry, and physical test results) to develop customer-specific strategies and product recommendations. Proficiency with cement standards (ASTM, CSA, etc.). Strong knowledge of milling equipment, particle classifiers, circuit configurations, and pyro processes for optimizing clinker performance. Advanced knowledge of MS Office computer software: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Basic knowledge of MS Outlook, Teams, Edge Internet Browser. Knowledge of industry trends, including low clinker content cement production and co-grinding with alternative materials. Data analysis and report writing skills. Communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership and team management capabilities. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Travel:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety
Assume a leadership position at the facility in partnership with the shift supervisors.
Activities include resolution and communication regarding safety issues.
Execute on scheduled PHA's and JSA's.
Proactively monitor area and remediate potential safety issues.
Use DAKOTA software as a tool for compliance and environmental, health and safety.
Use the tool to report incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.
LEAN Culture
Develop and execute upon "standard work" activities.
Assume responsibility for assigned activities on the Engineering Tier and other accountability boards.
Conduct "GEMBA Walks" daily.
Use walks as the primary means of education and communication of expectations.
Improve productivity through elimination of non-value-added activities.
Apply Engineering principles and methodologies to Improve productivity and eliminate waste.
Product Quality
Work to maximize equipment efficiency and quality for output.
Member of the facility QIC.
Ensure identification of root cause and subsequent prevention of future customer complaints.
Assist in the training of operators with a focus on quality critical product specifications and process parameters.
Capable of equipment troubleshooting and process design.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree from a 4 or 5-year college or university.

The Director of Inventory Planning plays a key role in fueling business growth by aligning inventory strategy with customer demand and financial goals.
Through strong partnership across Sales and cross-functional teams, this leader transforms insights into action-optimizing inventory, reducing risk, and maximizing service.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, and S&OP/IBP
Executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross-functional alignment
Proven success partnering with Sales on demand planning and inventory strategy
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated success improving inventory performance (e.g., reducing excess/obsolete stock while improving service levels)
Strong ERP and planning systems experience (LN preferred), with proficiency in Power BI and Salesforce
Physical Requirements:
Regular use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, etc.)
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day)
Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
Travel up to 50% as needed
Essential Functions:
Sales Partnership & Demand Alignment
Partner with Sales leadership to proactively identifying risks and opportunities
Support Sales in evaluating trade-offs between inventory availability, lead times, and customer commitments
Serve as the primary liaison between Inventory Planning and Sales to align forecasts, trends, and demand
Actively participate in S&OP and IBP processes, ensuring demand signals are clearly understood and incorporatedCross-Functional Leadership
Drive alignment across Supply Chain, Finance, Merchandising, and Operations with clear ownership, priorities, and timelines
Lead initiatives to improve inventory health, reduce excess/obsolete stock, and increase inventory turns
Partner with Finance to align inventory strategies with financial targets, including working capital and margin goalsLeadership
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing inventory planning team
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Develop talent pipelines and succession plans within the organization

Own inventory health across Finished Goods, Purchased Finished Goods, and raw materials
Develop and execute strategies that balance service levels, working capital efficiency, and risk mitigation
Lead long-range and annual inventory planning aligned with business objectives and sales forecasts
Establish frameworks for inventory segmentation, safety stock, and replenishment strategiesReporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
Define and track KPIs (forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, inventory quality)
Deliver insights and recommendations to executive leadership, highlighting risks and opportunities
Advance planning maturity through digital tools, automation, and analytics
Leverage systems and analytics to improve responsiveness and decision-making
Standardize planning processes, metrics, and dashboards globally
Implement governance structures that strengthen accountability across Sales and Planning teams

Summary:
Carboline is seeking a Technical Service Engineer (all experience levels welcome) to provide hands-on technical support to both internal and external customers.

Position Summary:
Carboline Global, Inc is seeking a Production Administrator at their manufacturing facility in Green Bay, WI.
In this role, you will be responsible for completing production and fill-out transactions in LN, verifies all production batches and fill-out tickets for closure, and update plant KPI data.
In this role, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing process.
We are looking for motivated individuals with strong leadership skills and a solid work ethic to maintain the safety and efficiency of our facility, uphold product quality, and coordinate plant operations to achieve optimal performance and productivity targets.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, experience with Microsoft Office.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent problem-solving skills are a must.
Physical Requirements:
Requires minimal physical requirements.
Approximately 80-85% of workday is spent at computer station.
Essential Functions:
Runs Daily Production Reports for Tier 2 Daily and Weekly Dashboard.
Adds data to appropriate spreadsheets and production board on floor.
Runs daily Cycle Counting reports and adds data to appropriate spreadsheets
Runs spreadsheet to determine where all batches are in the building and texts that information into each batch in LN.
Completes daily Batching Schedule Timing report actual to reflect actual crewing.
Back-up Administrative Assistant as needed.
Duties may include:
Prints all labels needed for daily plant production, based upon the daily production schedule using computerized label system
Maintains a file of completed labels.
Files in numerical sequence one completed label copy, one copy of the labeling instruction, attached to printed labels.
Maintains inventories of label paper, toner, etc.
Maintains organized files of batch tickets, fill tickets, work orders, invoices, MSDS sheets, and purchase orders with accurate received notes.
Assures proper production document flow.
Gathers and inputs daily information for production batches completed onto spreadsheet/s for monitoring specific batch information and downtime KPI's including OEE fill and labeling reports
Ordering all production supplies and back up ordering of office supplies.
Back-up to answer and forward incoming plant calls and processing plant visitors according to procedures in effect
Back-up to open and distribute incoming mail and to prepare outgoing mail for delivery
Types reports, memos, and letters as required.
