Specific Requirements: Establish and maintain professional relationships with partners, suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers. Review and plan materials forecasting and usage and ensure supplier understanding of PO requirements for long-term product availability. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The BIM Specialist is responsible for transforming conceptual layouts to full fabrication and installable LOD400 models of metal panels that integrate with the building design along with associated shop drawings and custom Revit schedules to facilitate shop fabrication.

Shop Drawings). Coordinate and assist with any addendum, request for information, change proposal requests and change orders; make necessary revisions to existing drawings. Prepare final drawings based on prior work examples and input from designers and/or engineers. Establish, implement, and maintain quality control procedures. Document RevitBIM standards, processes, procedures, and workflows to ensure consistency and quality across projects. Identify and resolve clashes, conflicts, and discrepancies within Revit/BIM models to ensure smooth coordination between various disciplines. Collaborate across functions to ensure accurate and timely designs in accordance with established budgets and estimates. Prioritize all work in accordance with project deadlines. Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to use your technical engineering knowledge and move into an Applications or Systems Test Engineering role within the Automotive industry.
If so, read on! This is a great opportunity for an intelligent and analytical mechanical engineer, based out of the Bristol office and travelling to customers UK-wide.
Commutable from Gloucester, Swindon, Bath and Cheltenham.
Role and Duties - Test Engineer:
- Work as part of a team travelling to support UK-based OE vehicle manufacturers with the integration and application of systems for commercial vehicles
- Support to customers covers all phases of a project from the initial conception with the customer, through application, testing and finally with support with field issues
- The application tests involve testing a wide range of systems on a vehicle, either at customer premises or at a suitable test track facility
- The product range to be supported is mainly pneumatic based, but with a high level of electronic control - this includes air compressor, air treatment, brake controllers, foundation brake, leveling control and advanced driver assistance systems
- The role will require answering technical enquiries from the customer, planning and conducting test activities, technical report writing and follow-up of any issues with the customer
- This is an interesting and varied job role which will suit someone who is happy with a mix of hands-on/off work
Skills and Experience Required - Mechanical System Engineer:
- Experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Applications Engineer, Development Engineer, System Test Engineer, or similar
- An electrical or mechanical engineering degree
- Industry experience is desirable but not essential
- Understanding of vehicle CAN (Controller Area Network) is desirable (J1939 an advantage).
- CANalyzer knowledge is also preferable.
- Good analytical skills they must be able to review data quickly during test work and adapt test plans accordingly
- Good problem-solving skills
- People skills interacting clearly with customers on a technical level and ability to communicate with multiple teams in different global locations
- Self-motivated, self-prioritising, flexible working approach
- Strong IT Skills
- Use of diagnostic software to control and update electronic control units

- Salary: Up to £47k per annum

Holt Engineering are currently working with a close knit family run manufacturing company based in Winchester.
Who are currently looking for a Production Technician to work alongside the Production team leader and operating machinery to high standards.
The Production Technician is paying £27,000 - £28,000 per Annum.
Working Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern 6am - 2pm/2pm - 10pm
Duties for the Production Technician:
- Operate plant and equipment to mix, manufacture, transfer, and pack product
- Packaging of finished products to company standards
- Handling / manufacturing products and raw materials
- Use of manual handling equipment available for moving heavy materials
- Maintain high levels of hygiene and housekeeping
- Ensure that when products are transferred to other Departments, they are in a suitable fit for purpose condition that meets the customers expectations.
- Dealing with reports and paperwork to a high standard
To be a Successful Production Technician:
- Numerate and literate
- Operate basic processes and equipment
- A good understanding of quality control systems
- An understanding of food hygiene
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Operation of some detailed plant operations
- Experience of manufacturing processes
- Technical knowledge of production processes
- Technical understanding of complex equipment
- A knowledge of basic planning systems and demonstrated competence with task allocation
- Experience with training and development of new employees
- The ability to communicate openly with multiple functions across the business
- Previous work experience in a BRCGS environment (Desirable)
