As an Area Manager you will provide; focus, support, and leadership to a designated geographically defined field management team to ensure the service and quality expectations of our customers are met.
Job Specifics - Retail Area Manager
You will be required to:
Drive productivity & efficiency into all areas of the operation
To develop and motivate effective count management teams that will deliver an efficient and quality service to the customer
Maximise the profitability of the operation, whilst achieving and promoting employee development
To support retail stock counts within the field, when necessary.
Travel and overnight stays will be required on occasion.
Liaise with both Regional Business Managers and the Scheduling & Deployment department to identify any requirement shortfall
Support other regions and other business units when required
Deliver the right number of colleagues within the region to meet the business requirements
Recruit, train and coach all Count Managers and Supervisors within the region
Overseas travel may be required at times

A client within the public sector based in the East Midlands is currently recruiting for a Building Control Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible.
The client is offering a full time, contract position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to provide an effective Building Control service through the regulation and enforcement of the Building Regulations 2010, the Building Act 1984 and associated legislation to ensure the health, safety and convenience of people in and about buildings.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
carry out the full range of Building Control surveying activities including site inspections and plan appraisals, investigating dangerous structures, responding to customer enquiries, coordinating statutory consultations, demolitions, liaising with experts, internal and external stakeholders
proactively manage contravening building works and enforce the requirements of the building regulations through effective enforcement in line with service policies and procedures and the Operational Standards Rules published by the Building Safety Regulator.
investigate alleged breaches of building regulations, gather evidence and attend court as required.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require to have the required technical expertise and the relevant class registration to complete surveys on behalf of the council.
It will be essential to be in experiences in the below:
experience in processes and procedures of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System accreditation process
ensure legislative deadlines for issuing notices and certificates are met relevant to the work undertaken by the postholder.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £60 p/h Umbrella Ltd.
