Our established client is looking for a skilled Machine Tool Fitter/Service Engineer to join their growing team.
The ideal candidate will be based in the Midlands, within a reasonable commute of their Nuneaton office.
The ideal candidate should have experience in installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing manual metal cutting machinery, with skills in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
This is a practical role requiring both technical knowledge and strong customer service in different industrial settings.
Other job titles could include: Machine Tool Engineer, CNC Service Engineer, CNC Maintenance Engineer, Machine Tool Maintenance or similar.
The Role - Machine Tool Fitter:
- Perform routine maintenance on manual metal cutting machines to keep them running smoothly.
- Fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in the workshop or at customer sites.
- Replace faulty parts (motors, gears, belts, electrical components)
- Install/ fit new parts.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify and fix issues.
- Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and on-site help.
- Offer advice on machine performance, efficiency, and upgrades.
- Work with clients to ensure machines meet their needs and provide high-quality service.
- Keep detailed records of service visits, repairs, and maintenance.
- Write reports for customers on work completed, parts replaced, and machine performance.
- Follow safety rules and industry standards during maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure machines meet safety standards and run efficiently to avoid breakdowns and accidents.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering ongoing support and advice.
Key Candidate Requirements - Machine Tool Fitter:
- Experience of service, breakdown or maintenance/ fitting experience machine tools
- Experience stripping down gearboxes, spindles, and/or cross-lighting on machine tools/metal cutting experience
- BTEC Level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent time-served experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and machine tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to manage time and prioritise tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Flexibility to travel and work at various customer locations as needed.
Salary and Package - Machine Tool Fitter:
- Salary £35k-£42k depending on experience
- 39.5 hours per week
- Monday - Thursday 8:00- 5:00, Friday 8:00- 4:30

My well-established client in the healthcare sector is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
As the facilities maintenance engineer, your role will be to maintain the building services, building fabric and all equipment in a cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with all current national legislation.
You will undertake testing of plant/equipment, ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe environment for all staff, patients and visitors.
This role is commutable from Birmingham South, Coventry, Solihull and surrounding areas.

The Role of Facilities Maintenance Engineer:
- Working as part of the Engineering team you will be responsible for providing planned and preventative maintenance, as well as reactive for all equipment, grounds and fabric within the hospital.
- You will analyse faulty equipment through to onsite repairs and liaise closely with specialist contractors.
- You will be responsible for identifying and initiating action, either directly or via contractors, on all repairs required, in the event of a breakdown or defect.
- Carrying out general plumbing and pipe-fitting duties.
- Change of air-conditioning filters and belts and cleaning of grease filters.
- Service of ballcocks, tap washers and shower mixers.
- Carry out repairs to building fabrics including some decorating and carpentry.
- You will input relevant data following PPM actions into the planning record system to ensure accurate records are maintained.
- To carry out or coordinate any minor alterations (e.g.
refurbishment, redecoration) to the building as and when required.
- Ensure stock levels of engineering items and consumables are kept at a satisfactory level.
Key Requirements - Facilities Maintenance Engineer:
- Must hold an apprenticeship or qualification in Building Services such as Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC or similar
- Must have a minimum of 1 years of experience within a Building Services or facilities maintenance position within a healthcare environment
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle is essential
- Be a great communicator with a strong work ethic.
- Able to work as part of a team and also independently to ensure tasks are completed.
- Flexibility to work our rota and fulfil the on call requirements

Must have a valid driver's license. Active listening and attention to detail. CNC Miller Role & Responsibilities
- Well-accomplished - CNC Miller confident working with Heidenhain controls
- Programming - Have a strong background in complex program editing or programming from scratch on CNC Mills
- Multitasking - Able to run more than one machine at a time
- All-rounder daily machine maintenance, ensuring parts are finished to customer requirements, liaising with other departments
- Safety & efficiency Adhere to company safety procedures and follow 6S & Lean Manufacturing programs
- Dedicated Demonstrate excellent time management, organisation, attention to detail & ability to see a job through from start to finish
- 4 x late shifts, 3:45pm - 1:45am
