Domestic Electrician
Location: West Midlands
We are looking for a skilled Domestic Electrician to join our client's team.
As a key member of their team, primary functions will be to carry out installation, maintenance and testing works to domestic properties in the West Midlands area.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, be customer-focused, take pride in their workmanship, demonstrate strong problem-solving and installation abilities, and be eager to contribute to the high level of service and customer satisfaction our clients expect.
Key Details:
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: up to £36,000 depending on experience
Holidays: 21 days per year (plus bank holidays)
Essential Skills:
Previous experience in similar role
Ability to work unsupervised
Good communication, time management and organizational skills
Complete necessary paperwork and reports related to installations, repairs, and testing
Computer literate and ability to use Microsoft outlook/word/excel
Must have full driving license
Qualifications Required:
ECS Gold card (essential)
City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
Personal Qualities:
Good communication skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
Able to work on your own initiative or part of a team

Are you a qualified electrician with a 2391 Inspection and Testing certification looking for an exciting opportunity in Peterborough? We are seeking a skilled Inspect and Electrician for Void Properties to join our team.
You will play a key role in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in vacant (void) properties, ensuring they meet safety standards and are ready for new tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting comprehensive electrical inspections in void properties across Peterborough.
Carrying out electrical testing and certification, including EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Reports).
Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in accordance with regulations.
Installing and testing new electrical systems, including full rewires and upgrades.
Ensuring all work complies with IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
Preparing properties for occupancy through necessary electrical checks and maintenance.
Liaising with property managers and other trades to expedite property handovers.
Requirements:
Qualified Electrician with relevant City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3.
2391 Inspection and Testing certification (essential).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (desirable).
Proven experience in electrical inspections and testing (EICR).
Previous experience in void property work or social housing is advantageous.
Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel within Peterborough.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Good communication and time-management skills.
