Additionally provide assistance and support to the Maintenance Mechanic in making repairs throughout the plant.
Here's what you can expect every day:
Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Inspecting drives, motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or performing other maintenance actions, following checklists. Using tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Assemble, install, or repair: wiring, piping, machinery, and equipment. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Diagnose mechanical problems and determining how to correct them, utilizing repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.

Learn all manual tasks performed within the department. Perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures, and following department specific quality control processes and procedures. Treat people with dignity and respect. Conduct all business with integrity. Adhere to Rust-Oleum Corporation Quality principles and participate in all departmental and company-wide Quality activities. Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Required Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent. 1-3 years of industrial experience. Experience with filling and packaging equipment. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures. Ability to do basic math and enter computer data. Ability to coordinate with the work of others and solve problems in a team environment. Active participation in our Continuous Improvement Process. Ability to lift 75 pounds. Willingness to work overtime as required.
Additional Consideration Given to Those With:
Exposure to quality programs. Paint/Coatings/chemical industry knowledge or experience. Experience with a continuous process discipline such as Six Sigma/Lean/TQM manufacturing environment. Previous experience with safety programs. Flex Schedule: 6:00 PM to 6:15 AM shift following a 3-6-3-2 rotation-3 days on, 6 days off, 3 days on, and 2 days off.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Tasks PROFILE: Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: Monitor machinery used in the production process and assist machine operators. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards, BOM, and test. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using non-motorized equipment. Stop machines when malfunctions occur, clear jams, and report unresolved malfunctions to a machine operator, lead, maintenance, and then management. Secure finished packaged items by gluing, stapling, wrapping, taping, or attaching fastener. Mark or tag identification on parts. Load and unload materials, product, or packaging from machines, containers, conveyors, and conveyances. Help team members by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work areas and equipment. Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) per requirements.
May require recording information such as weight, count, time, scrap and date packaged. Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels to ensure all shifts requirements are met. Perform other duties as assigned. Responsibilities/Expectations: Communicate with Supervisors, peers, or subordinates: provide information to supervisors and co-workers in written form or in person. Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality. Learn all manual tasks performed within the department. QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE
English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
