The Role of the Associate Account Manager
Responsible for selling the company's implantable medical devices to hospitals, clinics, and physicians as appropriate.
Provides support, training and/or guidance during actual procedures or surgeries.
Accelerates revenue and market penetration for all products in the territory while driving the development of relationships with key spine surgeon customers
Conducts key marketing activities such as peer-to-peer spine surgeon events and visiting surgeon programs that espouse the values of foundation technologies
Executes the sales plan and thoughtfully produce monthly and quarterly updates to the plan and review process
Represents the company as the industry leaders by acquiring clinical competency skills with all company products
Covers surgical cases, to provide the highest degree of value to surgeons and patients
Apply in-depth speciality knowledge within subject area to complete assignments of diverse scope; contributing to the development of new plans, models, standards and techniques
Solving problems in complicated situations through the application and integration of analytical skills, creativity and judgment
Lead projects of limited scope; provides training and constructive input to team members

Responsibilities:
Work independently to initiate innovative and functional product designs and manage the design projects related to new product development across all Rust-Oleum product categories. Participate in research of internal and external voice of customer meetings, analyze customer needs and insights, and translate them into value-added design solutions. Design, prototype, and test product design to ensure quality, functionality, durability, manufacturability and correlate chemical and physical material to consumer application and use, cost, safety and environmental impact. Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to ensure that the designs meet/exceed market/product needs, cost targets, and production requirements. Identify and select materials and components to meet design objectives. Identify, assess and select potential 3rd party design and /or manufacturing partners, and act as our project manager liaison with selected firm(s), travel to production facilities to evaluate processes and ensure compliance and quality to the standards. Develop and perform competitive assessments and analyses. Act as the "thought and team leader' for the business regarding product delivery system and packaging design. Create and/or guide engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances for designs.
Qualifications:
Minimum of bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline. 5 or more years of hands-on experience in new product development and tooling design, prototyping, and testing of mechanical systems with proven track record of successful new product design and development, preferably in durable consumer markets. Experienced in plastic injection molding and plastic parts design. Proven leadership in managing new product development, start to finish. Extensive knowledge of product design, materials selection and manufacturing processes and direct experience working with a broad array of materials, preferably for consumer goods products. Excellent working knowledge of Computer Aided Design modelling concepts and software proficient with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) for 3D part modeling, drawing, and assembly creation of the mechanical components. A passion for design, engineering, problem solving, with critical thinking and creativity. Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team from project concept through commercialization. Monitoring Installation Visits to project sites to monitor installation of Tremco roofing products for the purpose of determining whether to issue a Tremco warranty.
This work may include, but is not limited to: monitoring progress of the installation; identifying any aspect of installation that does not comply with specifications; reviewing and resolving concerns of architects, contractors and owners regarding Tremco's installation instructions; coordinating visits with contractors; and preparing reports on progress and problems for the Sales Representative.
Troubleshooting Identifying problems arising during installation and the lifecycle of the roof.
This work may include but is not limited to: identifying source(s) of leaks; analyzing problems to determine the best solution; monitoring implementation of the solution; and preparing written action plans.
This work will represent less than 45% of the SA's time Manual Labor Performing patch and repair work for small leaks that can be performed quickly after identifying the leak and other infrequent, limited physical labor.
Performing minor maintenance (caulking, flashing touch up, applying small amounts of mastic, removing debris, etc.) to prevent potential leaks.
Other Work This work may include but is not limited to: conducting diagnostic infra-red scans of roofs; taking photographs; preparing CADD drawings; and delivering or picking up samples, documents or small products from/to architects, owners and contractors.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum: Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or combination of education and experience.
Must have a minimum of two to three years of related hands-on experience and/or training in a similar role.
Prior sales and/or customer related experience in roofing industry required.
Qualifications:
Thorough understanding and application of roofing and waterproofing contracting standards. Experience with MS Word, Excel and familiarity with CADD Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Maintain marketing color chip file. Prepare and maintain charts, such as Federal Colors, base densities and other cross references. Requirements
3-5 years sales experience in roofing and complimentary products Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required. Construction experience as an installer, especially the installation of foam Roof Tile Adhesive products is not required but is a major plus. Exceptional verbal, presentation, and training skills both.
Ability to work independently with new and existing clients to overcome typical sales objections (i.e.
- price, application knowledge, etc.) Cold-calling success within a territory to both large nationwide clients as well as small businesses in the roofing industry. Working knowledge and understanding of the permitting process with NOA's and approvals. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e.
Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Ability to work in adverse conditions, around chemicals, navigate construction sites, and climb ladders.
