Dudick, a brand of Carboline is seeking Production Operator in Streetsboro, OH.
We are seeking individuals to help to ensure the quality of our products, safety of the facility and coordination of all plant operations in order to help Carboline reach the best possible performance targets.
Job Duties:
Stack finished goods correctly and quickly to keep up with the production line. Operates the bagging machine, controller, and line conveyors and understands their designs. Participate in the Quality Process by monitoring bag weights, stacking and labeling bags correctly.
Part of this process includes verifying that each bag is filled properly and is the correct weight and taking samples as needed for material testing. Dump raw material into a mixer as needed. Takes samples of material for testing. Operate the bagging machine, controller and line conveyors, and understand their design. Maintain a clean work area and assist in the end of shift cleaning. Performs all other duties as assigned by Crew Leader, Supervisor, or Plant Manager.

Position Summary:
You will be responsible for manufacturing at acceptably efficient levels, meeting production schedules, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, maintaining employee morale, and any employee relation issues.
Essential Functions:
Enforce safety regulations, investigate accidents, complete accident reports as required and eliminate potential and actual safety hazards. Maintain a complete understanding of emergency response plans in the event of spills or other similar disasters. Must adhere to the specific facilities safety process and procedures and follow all PPE requirements.
Report all safety injuries and incidents to your supervisor and EH&S department immediately. Ensure production quality expectations are met. Responsible for understanding all aspects of production schedule. Understand shift production requirements and hold daily meetings to share information with direct reports. Assign employees to specific work stations and tasks. Advise management of equipment and staffing requirements. Maintain housekeeping standards. Interface with other supervisors on all operations, staffing, and miscellaneous issues. Run daily cycle counts.
Input inventory transactions and monitor LN for accuracy.
Responsible for physical inventory, directs cycle counting, and full physical inventories when required. Assure the following shift is properly stocked with supplies and that materials are in sufficient quantities on the production floor to assure a smooth start-up. Responsible for ensuring ISO standards and procedures are followed. Review and approve time card hours in the timekeeping system by 8:30am every Monday morning. Communicate improper equipment operation or downtime to maintenance and coordinate required repairs. Perform annual evaluations and administer training for production employees. Monitor employee performance, coach, council, motivate, and discipline as necessary. Secure and lock facility when applicable. Enforce all company policies and regulations. Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner as required by procedure. May be required to train and certify employees on proper use of forklifts. Perform additional duties as assigned Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years Supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
May have to occasionally travel to other facilities or training events.
Manage 2nd shift from 2pm-10pm with possible weekends when production schedules demand additional output.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance manuals and safety rules.
Ability to use a computer for all company required processes, procedures, and trainings.
Desired Qualification:
Strong Excel and Microsoft skill set Lean Manufacturing- Six Sigma- Green Belt 2 year college degree Union background a plus
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally lifts, carries, and moves raw materials or company products weighing up to 100+ pounds..
Exposure to chemicals including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, Acrylics, and certain inorganic compounds.
(Personal protective equipment would be utilized.) Standing/kneeling/walking/sitting on concrete for approximately 75% of workday.
May be required to operate fork-lift.

Requirements

Team player who can be trusted to engage, participate in & lead key corporate growth initiatives.
Understanding of key DAP products & product categories & how they're used within various Construction & Industrial trades. Monitor market, competitive, & account specific trends, identify strategic opportunities, and ensure product offering is properly positioned within each account. Network and build relationships at functional and senior leadership levels across assigned national accounts.
Written and verbal communications skills that are clear, concise, appropriate in timing, and directed to appropriate levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, PowerBI, and an ability to learn to use other related applications as needed

Add designated tint paste to the base product as called for by formula and verify proper color, per established procedures. Tag tinted material with the color designation. Advise management of equipment and staffing requirements. Maintain housekeeping standards. Interface with other supervisors on all operations, staffing, and miscellaneous issues. May assist in other departments as needed.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to read and understand instructions, bills of lading and other shipping documents. Ability to do basic math. Accurately enter and retrieve computer data. Ability to operate a forklift. Ability to solve problems in a team environment. Active participation in team building activities. Ability to consistently lift 55 pounds. The Controls Engineer provide process engineering support to drive continuous improvement in the areas OEE, ZBY, and OBE.
This position will also provide engineering support to continuous improvement of the main plant metrics (safety, quality, service and cost).
Responsibilities:
Analyzing systems: Overseeing and analyzing systems involved with equipment production, facility processes, and identifying shortcomings that could be automated. Optimizing design: Designing layout, materials, information flow, and machine placement. Programming: Setting up, programming, checking, and modifying electrical controls panels, circuitry, and equipment. Testing and troubleshooting: Testing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and pretesting controls programs. Collaborating: Collaborating with other types of engineers and designers to ensure each product is of the highest quality and function. Providing support: Providing technical support and instruction to organization members, and system installation support and on-site start-up and debugging.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial. 2+ years of experience in controls engineering field. Six Sigma/lean manufacturing experience required.
Understanding of process control methods, flowmeters, level monitors, and other process controls within a batch manufacturing process.
Ability to read and interpret process drawings (process flow diagrams and P&ID's).
PLC with ladder logic analysis.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
PC usage with MS Office Suite (AutoCAD experience a plus).
Strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills both written and verbal.
Experience with controls design.
Dedicated to problem solving and continuous improvement.
Fluent in controls systems writing protocols and databases.
Comfortable with algorithm design and programmable logic practices.
