Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Work Instructions (WI's) associated with this job role. Responsible for the setup of all packaging line equipment, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly. Perform repairs to packaging line equipment. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of the packaging lines by minimizing downtime due to equipment failures. Perform changeover of all packaging line equipment. Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
Compile operational and personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair and maintenance statistics, and test results.
Develop, implement, and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.
Counsel associates about work-related issues and assist associates to correct job-skill deficiencies.
Examine objects, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.Hours: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday: 5:30pm - 2am.
Wednesdays: 2pm - 10:30pm (can be flexible, but hours must include evenings/nights)

EDUCATION:

Six months or more of PLC, Mechanical, and/or Electrical troubleshooting experience and/or training.
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or Controls Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
Packaging experience or automation equipment preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

The successful Factory Labourer will be responsible supporting a team of skilled Welders & Pipefitters by carrying out a variety of tasks, including keeping the workspace tidy, cutting, preparing and painting pipework, driving a van to carry out local collections/deliveries and other supporting duties as required in the factory.
This employer is open to providing training and skill development for someone who can demonstrate excellent levels of work ethic and hard working. The successful Factory Labourer will receive:
Hourly Rate: £16.75 per hour (£804.00 per week) - paid via CIS
Working Hours: 48 per week - Monday to Thursday 06:30-17:00 / Friday 06:30-15:00
Contract Length: Ongoing - at least 6 months with extension highly likely

One batch is complete the operator will test for quality, adjust as needed to assure specification is met by following written standard operating procedures, and then fill product into specified packaging and palletize pails or drums.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines using control boards, Human Machine Interface (HMI computer touch screen) or semi-automatic equipment.
Draw samples of products, and conduct quality control tests to monitor processing and ensure that standards are met.
Use appropriate scales or measurement devices to add materials to the kettle as specified by batch process orders.
Must be able to read and understand recording instruments, pressure gauges, scales, flow meters, panel lights, and other indicators to verify the conformity of process conditions.
Monitor control settings and make necessary adjustments on equipment.
Accurately record production and downtime via written documentation.
EXPERIENCE:
No prior experience is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic Computer Skills required (Windows Familiarity).
Lean and VFM (Visual Factory Management) skills and/or willingness to train.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
